So I've been reading up a bit on Bobby Kotick and it just got me wondering. Who are the biggest shitheads currently in powerful positions within the gaming industry at the moment?
I'm talking about people who are responsible for stifling creativity of developers. Giving us fewer choices of what we can play and how we can play it. People whose idea of a perfect game is one that's been focus tested to death. Overall people who are just bad for the advancement of the industry. Or maybe they're just dicks.
Since a lot of these folks are going to be pretty obscure it would help to give a name along with some description of what they've done or what they're doing to fuck up us gamers.
My votes?
Jack Thompson - Pretty obvious. This troll appears to have gone away but he's been responsible for more bad gaming press than just about any other media whore I can think of.
Bobby Kotick (CEO Activision/Blizzard) - From Wikipedia: Advocating a business strategy focused on only developing intellectual property which can be, in his words, "exploited" over a long period, to the exclusion of new titles which cannot guarantee sequels.
