I'm sure this thread will last. That said, I'm specifically waiting on Bioshock because I bought Gears of War on day 1, thoroughly on hype and reviews, and when I finally got around to playing it 6 months later, found it was only half a game. And not a very good one, at that.

That’s the tendency of any large vibrant community. I know personally I’m not concerned what will happen to the criticism of a particular title in a year, or two leave that for IGN when they compile another unnecessary BEST GAMES EVER list.

Of course we will. its the the foundation for the entire gaf community Honestly its a great game, and I am throughly enjoying it, but once I am done with it, I doubt I will play it again...

The real test of time will be if all the indie game whores who were excited for this game will still like it after it's hyplosion and possible mass market penetration. My guess? They'll stick to "System Shock 2 is better" and whine about Bioshock's simplified mechanics.

I've played and beaten Deus Ex many a time.

And Bioshock is still fucking incredible.
