'Introducing BioShock: The Collection! Relive the depths of Rapture and sail through Columbia in this remastered edition including all three ‪‎BioShock‬ games, complete with all single-player DLC and a never-before-seen video series with commentary from Ken Levine. Coming September 13, 2016 to PS4, Xbox One, and PC.'

BioShock

The video series, “Director’s Commentary: Imagining BioShock,” featuring Ken Levine, creative director on BioShock and BioShock Infinite and Shawn Robertson, animation lead on BioShock and animation director on BioShock Infinite.
Museum of Orphaned Concepts: Walk through a Rapture-inspired virtual museum that gives you a behind-the-scenes look at discarded concepts that never made it into the original game.
Challenge Rooms: Outside the story of BioShock, tackle puzzles, splicers and Big Daddies. And achievements, of course.

BioShock 2 (**Multiplayer will not be included)

Minerva’s Den: A self-contained BioShock story, presenting a side of Rapture you've never seen before. Use expanded combat abilities with the experimental Ion Laser and chaotic Gravity Well Plasmid, unique to Minerva's Den, as you face off against the Lancer Big Daddy.
Protector Trials: Take control of an Alpha Series Big Daddy woken out of hibernation just before the events of BioShock 2.

BioShock Infinite

Burial at Sea - Episode 1 & 2 Add-On Packs: This major two-part DLC pack completes the BioShock trilogy by taking the series back to where it all began. Return to Rapture just before the events of the original BioShock!
Clash in the Clouds Add-On Pack: Face 60 waves of challenges across four additional maps for leaderboard glory and unlock areas to explore in The Columbian Archaeological Society hub museum.
Columbia's Finest Pack: Combines the contents of the Industrial Revolution Pack and the Upgrade Pack and includes 500 Silver Eagles, five Lock Picks, six unique Gear items, and two weapon upgrades: Comstock’s China Broom Shotgun and Comstock’s Eagle Eye Sniper Rifle.

*BioShock Infinite is not being remastered on PC because it already meets current-gen console standards and runs smoothly on high visual settings.

Need that 60 FPS confirmation before I get excited.

Edit: 60 FPS confirmed.

Love these games but, other than the commentary which is NOT a small thing, what's the appeal for PC players? Anyone know?

I wonder what the PC version will entail, and whether they'll be charging PC owner who already own all three games for it.

It probably won't be 60fps.

Hopefully there will be an upgrade option on PC or the option to buy them a la carte. I don't want to plunk down any more money over Infinite.

I would assume a version of Bioshock 1 that is updated to work on modern systems. The current game has a lot of bugs and instability issues, so it would be great to have one that's future proof.

So I bought Bioshock Infinite in the sale, I guess I should refund it? I've never played any Bioshock game so doing the collection seems like the best idea.

Yeah, my same question too, since this is called "Collection" and not "Remastered".
Anyway it's 2K, so I bet they will charge for it.
The insulting thing is Bioshock 1 on PC is very bad, if I remember correclty there's no pad support, I had a bug in which the game got muted for no reason, no achievements etc.
Instead of doing a remaster they should simply patch that one.

On Bioshock 2 Minerva's Den I had a bug with a minigame, when I interacted with it, controls stopped working.

Hmm, already have all the games (and all DLC) on X360. I do want to replay them all, but I'm not sure if it's worth to buy again. If they removed the puzzle mini-game from Bioshock 1, that alone would be worthy of a purchase, but I doubt they've made any gameplay changes.

For a second I thought it was just bioshock and infinite

See developers , if you include every game in the franchise for a remaster I'd be more interested in buying it

I'll be picking up a copy now, shame 2 won't have its multiplayer but it's for the best, unless it will? It was a decent multiplayer

Director's commentary is cool but I'm not sure I need to hear any more discussion of Bioshock, ever.

Also I just watched this on my phone so I couldn't tell; does this look substantially better than the originals?

heh, I understood that reference.

Includes all single player DLC, not a bad deal. I don't love these games, but I never got to play the supposedly excellent Minerva's Den or Infinite DLC.

I'm pretty sure that they would have made a point of mentioning 1080/60 in the video if it was going to happen.

Ah, cool. I expected 2 to get Arkham Origins'd out of this. Can't say that I'm going to get this day one, but I see myself at some point picking this up on the cheap.

I wonder if the dev commentary includes Ken Levine talking about how all the Elizabeth porn tore him apart.

I've heard Minerva's Den is good, but I haven't played it myself yet. Should probably get round to it. Infinite's DLC is a mess though and manages to retroactively ruin Bioshock 1 so... yay?

I hope they make Levine do commentary for Bioshock 2.

"Oh, that's a Big Daddy ... I don't know what the fuck is going on, sorry"

Or maybe it would sound too similar to his Bioshock Infinite commentary.

Hi, I'm nortonff. I spend my life going into threads to say that I don't care about the topic of the thread. It's a really good use of my time.
Never played Bioshock, so I'm mildly interested. Though I've never heard good things about 2 or Infinite. Then again I heard praise for Infinite the first few weeks and then suddenly all I saw was hate.
