Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

The world premiere of the game, codenamed Project F, is planned for 2026. The title is being developed as part of the Broken Mirror Games brand, responsible for second-party projects, and is being implemented in accordance with Bloober Team's long-term development strategy for 2023-2027.

In addition, the company announces the setting of a new date for the world premiere of the game codenamed Projekt M, which is being prepared exclusively for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms, with a release in 2026 also as part of Broken Mirrror Games.

F is probably Silent Hill 1 remake but what the hell are they making for Switch exclusively?

A new game? Remaking Eternal Darkness?

They're not the actual developers on either project.

Bloober Team reveals the current release calendar of its projects

Bloober Team studio, a Polish developer of horror games, presents an updated release schedule for its upcoming titles. Among the announced information was the worldwide release date of Layers of Fear: The Final Masterpiece Edition for the Nintendo Switch 2 console.

This year has been a period of exceptional streak for Bloober Team – the studio has been nominated for the Golden Joystick Awards in the Best Audio categories for Cronos: The New Dawn and Studio of the Year, confirming its strong position in the gaming industry.

After the success and enthusiastically received release of Cronos: The New Dawn, Bloober Team is not slowing down. The studio continues to work intensively on further projects, while developing several key brands within the Broken Mirror Games (second party) brand.

The current release calendar includes a well-known and award-winning title – Layers of Fear: The Final Masterpiece Edition, which is the complete edition of the cult Layers of Fear series. The game will debut digitally on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025, which is sure to please fans of the console.

In addition, the company announces that the new date for the world release of I Hate This Place (Broken Mirror Games) has been set for January 29, 2026. The title, which is an isometric survival horror game based on the popular comic book by Kyle Starks and Artyom Topilin, will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.

Under the second party brand, the company also included the premiere of Star Trek: Infection (Project I), an upcoming VR production in the survival horror genre, set in the Star Trek universe. The game was first unveiled at this year's Gamescom and is scheduled for its world release on December 11, 2025. The title will be released on Meta Quest 3S, Meta Quest 3 and SteamVR platforms.

"Our overarching goal is to strengthen Bloober Team's position in the premium horror game segment and to consistently implement our long-term development strategy through diverse projects – both our own and co-created within the Broken Mirror Games brand. Each of the upcoming titles offers a unique dimension of excitement and experience that defines our studio's DNA. We are primarily interested in creating the highest quality productions that stand out in the rich and dynamically developing game market, instead of being just another title in the flood of available productions" – comments Piotr Babieno, President of Bloober Team.

Doesn't really matter (it was removed due to being actually official information), it's all here:

I liked Music Master: Chopin Cronos so much that anything Bloober-related hereafter benefits from an automatic boost to its Interest Quotient.

Nintendo Insider: While the title hasn't been announced, can you go into what players should expect from Project M, the Nintendo platform exclusive horror title from Bloober?

Piotr Babieno: You have no idea how hard it is for me not to reveal what Project M truly is—but for now, it's still too early to talk about it. We're confident that we'll be able to share the first details very soon.

What I can say is this: fans of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Limbo, and Eternal Darkness will immediately feel at home. That said, Project M introduces a bold twist—one that no horror game has ever explored before. This is a vision that could only exist on Nintendo hardware.

Hmm... the "could only exist on Nintendo hardware" comment is interesting, especially paired with him mentioning Eternal Darkness. Maybe something with the handheld/docked hybrid functionality to screw with the person playing the game?

Would love something reminiscent of Eternal Darkness. IIRC Nintendo patented the sanity mechanics of Eternal Darkness but never did anything with it. Maybe they are teaming up with Bloober since their own Layers of Fear-franchise is playing around with similar mechanics in fucking with your head. Bloober is known for surrealism in a lot of their games and since they've successfully also done third person horror with SH2 and Cronos maybe they are combining the mechanics from Layers of Fear/Eternal Darkness with something like Silent Hill 2 and Cronos. Would be fucking awesome.

Project M = Mario. A dark side of the moon spinoff from Odyssey, where Peach head gets chopped off and sliced into 7 pieces and Mario Needs to find all 7 pieces. On the way he finds out he's gay, forget the goal, and join a spaceship cruise as the game transforms into Super Mario Spaceshine, where the squirt mechanic works a little different.

Microsoft and Sony studios barely releasing 1 game during an entire console generation meanwhile Bloober out there releasing games as if they were collecting pokemon.

the only way what they're saying would make sense is if they are using basically all the joycon features in some unique way, that isn't easily replaceable by button inputs.

like, using the mouse sensors of both joycons for example for some mechanic. or extensive use of motion controls.

if it was a Kojima game you'd probably have to swap between docked and handheld mode for a boss battle lol

They are like Insomniac, quite efficient. But at the same time both studios release games that need some patches in first few weeks.

Hmmmm. If it's a hardware feature that they need, it would have to be either the handheld/docked switching, and/or the Joycons. Maybe the HD Rumble let's you feel when there is a presence in the room with you that you can't see?

If it's not about hardware, than it has to be IP. Nintendo has the aforementioned Eternal Darkness IP, Metroid, Mother, Luigi's Mansion, and Famicom Detective Club that could be potential candidates. Although, I do lean toward this being a new IP taking advantage of the "gimmick" features of the Switch and Switch 2.
