Good, ban it all and let's start afresh as a species.

What kind of society allows its women and children to be sold like commodities, ogled by sad losers who ironically have been created by the very system they vehemently defend.

I realise my views probably put me in the minority , so what though. As a father I wouldn't want this lifestyle for my daughter and I expect every other decent parent feels the same.

Do we really want terms like simps , incels , sex workers written in the history books to define what our culture was about!
Well said. More of us need to take a stand and not just hand wave away all this bullshit. It's the hand waving people that led us to here. There is a line that is crossed and some people don't want to draw the line.
Jordan Peterson was right!!! (of course he was... Only an idiot or someone trying to excuse bad behavior would say otherwise to common freaking sense.)

You go on about society and how we want to be seen, etc, but aren't we better off giving women the choice to do what they want as long as they're comfortable with it? It's a woman's right to choose whether they wish to get naked on OnlyFans or not, and if they do, shouldn't we be supporting that? Even if they are our daughters, sisters, mothers, etc. The way I see it, as long as they're not putting themselves in danger (by giving our real names, locations, etc) and are comfortable and enjoy what they do, let them carry on with what they do. Some women feel empowered doing it, some women get off on getting paid by their 'simp' fans, and some just love getting naked. Where's the harm in that?

No, what kind of silly logic is that? Just because a woman makes a choice doesn't mean you have to agree with it.

Sometimes...brace yourself. Sometimes women make dumb choices. It's okay to say that.

There's disagreeing with it, and there's saying their chosen lifestyle should be outright banned.

which is equally extreme and stupid. We aren't going to ban people from having sex or feeling aroused.

But that doesn't mean we stick out head in the sand and pretend this is normal. It's not, and it's concerning that for young women essentially being a whore online is increasingly becoming normal. No one talks about the girls who do this and don't make any money.

Also that's not what was happening in this situation. Investors just told OF's they didn't feel comfortable essentially funding a social media site focused around porn and prostitution. This isn't a new situation, and investors are right to be wary about this. For good reason, these sites have atteacted bad press over content before, (https://www.bbc.com/news/stories-51391981) and it has always been a problem for sites based around user submission.

I have zero clue if you are correct or incorrect on this claim, but regardless what a screwy thing for the investors to express. No different than pornhub saying they need to move away from porn, pizzhut dropping pizza, or sony dropping playstation.

Actually, in this day and age, I'd say it is normal. Society today is a lot more sexually adventurous than it was, say, 20-30 years ago. Hell, even 10 or so years ago, we, as humans, were a lot more prudish. But the evoloution of technology, and the increase in body confidence and wanting to feel empowered, has changed how we perceive sex and the naked form. It's not down to any one of us to define what is normal, and what isn't.

And, by the way, I find the overuse of 'whore' in this thread disturbing and disgusting. Anyone who so willingly throws the term around should be ashamed of themselves. Just because someone feels empowered enough to post content that involves nudity doesn't make them a whore, or a slut or a slag or whatever other degrading terminology you people choose to use. They are sex workers, yes, but not whores.

If this was the case, than why do these same women who are supposedly okay with their bodies being displayed on the internet get upset whenever their is a onlyfans leak, or when people post "revenge porn"? If society view about sex has changed, than why do these women immediately turn back to older views about modesty and privacy when the situation goes against them?

These women are not the majority, they aren't even a large minority, and they especially are not normal. The vast majority of people still keep their sex lives private, and don't monetize it on the internet. Societies views on sex haven't really changed. Women have been selling sex via video or print for decades. This is just a next step, not a new paradigm.

As for calling them whores...umm in many cases we are talking about prostitutes and escorts. Which is literally what a whore is. If we were talking about being pimps, would you be offended if we used the accurate word?

onlyfans is a business to people who use it. That would be a beach in their branding. That’s why they get upset about leaks or revenge porn.

I imagine they're getting upset because, to them, like so many others, OnlyFans is a genuine source of income. It's no different to members on MyFreeCams or any other site where members upload exclusive videos for their subscribers. If their videos get uploaded elsewhere, then they are losing out on money that, for the most part, is their only source of income. As for revenge porn, you know that is a crime, right? Like, it's illegal. Revenge porn is a completely different kettle of fish compared to uploaded content on OnlyFans. Videos they upload for their fans is done with their consent. Videos copied and uploaded by others is non-consensual, and a breach of copyright law.

The reason why he made that ridiculous post is because he hates the idea of it, rather than having a logical contention. Normally he would be able to think through this stuff especially if it’s business oriented, but he can’t because he hates sex work, like people hate the covid vaccine.

He probably holds a lot of views about what a woman should be. There's more than just hating sex work going on here, and in every discussion on this topic when it comes up it's like male sex workers don't exist.

That's my point. OF's and pirated porn are seen as business transactions. In any context outside of that, society has a vastly different response to women who do this. If young women selling videos of themselves being fucked was "normal" as C Chris is saying it is,

Actually, in this day and age, I'd say it is normal. Society today is a lot more sexually adventurous than it was, say, 20-30 years ago. then revenge porn would be treated no different from a pirated video or a leak. Instead, revenge porn is treated as a crime, because the courts, reflecting the views of the people, recognize that there is huge value on the privacy of their bodies. Some might call it "prudish".
Sex work is not seen as "normal" in society, it's considered a vice in most communities, and this situation is just a financial reminder of that.

In the real world, not the internet, most families don't celebrate their daughters doing this, and most cultures don't see prostitution as a viable career choice. I'm just pointing out the obvious, but somehow this is a debate. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

What is this bitch move of acting like I'm not going to read the thread? If you think "I hate women" or whatever than say it and get it over with.

Also I didn't bring up male sex workers because they are irrelevant to this discussion.

"There's more than just.." in my post creation I was going to theorize insecurity but I left that open ended for the reader to draw their own collusion. Anyway, thanks for the confirmation.

Male sex workers are irrelevant to the discussion how? Is there any reason having a penis makes them immune to the issues you have a problem with the women on Onlyfans?

There is no reason to single them out because OF reported policy change would apply to them as well.

and my discussion about society's views on sex workers is not gender-specific. Literally, everything i said would apply to dudes. I didn't think that had to be pointed out, but here we are

But let me say it again,

In the real world, not the internet, most families don't celebrate their son/daughters doing this, and most cultures don't see prostitution, (even if they have a penis) as a viable career choice. I'm just pointing out the obvious, but somehow this is a debate.

But you've only talked about women, now you've retconned once it's been pointed out that you have a problem with women doing sex work. Come on, what's the real issue here? You got a wife/girlfriend, worried she'll get into this? Or if you don't worried you won't find one that's "Pure" simps have wanked off over her and have her nudes.

faux offense? You're projecting my man with your faux concern.

If you need me to point out that men can also be sex workers then I'm sorry but wow...I can't help you. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

The majority of sex workers on OF are women. This change would mostly affect women. My discussion with C Chris started with a B B D Joe post earlier about how a father would see his daughter. I only kept to the context that was set because....why wouldn't I?

You're losing here, and just throwing windmills to deflect. Your condescension is just another way for you to worm out by attacking the person not the ideas. You're bullshitting here about who you replied to as you entered this topic with.

You're insecure and discuss adult issues like a child.

Because male sex workers aren't prostitutes?

Do you think prostitutes are a gendered insult?

OK. You hate women.

I don't know, maybe you were married once and your wife cheated on you because you just couldn't get it up, or maybe you're a 40-year old virgin and have never had the chance to get it up, but either way you blame women for your sexual failings and now hold ill feelings towards anyone who has a positive sexual lifestyle, whether it be in a normal relationship or posting content online. Either way, I pity you, I really do.

This is hilarious. I don't think families are happy that their kids are pimping themselves on OF than I must be a 40-year-old virgin. If I knew you were this stupid I wouldn't have bothered

Keep your pity to yourself, thanks
Careful, he's going to call you guys simps and strut away proudly 😂
If the word fits. You guys are the ones crying over porn and prostitutes

good, political corectness backfiring, they want full porno on a site like OF, but we can't have sexualized characters in entertainment, games, shows, movies, that's not allowed, have fun now

Anyways....this is going to end badly for OF. Not only are they not going to get venture capital, but their business model is not sustainable. I'll wait and see if they're going to raise the cut to 50% like how YT/Twitch does their thing.
