And yes, I do read the boxes of things I buy. I know not everyone does, believe me, I've accepted enough returns from ignorant impulse buyers. But I do and I'm saying you should, especially for the Xbox One given how topsy turvy it's been.
And also yes, there will be backlash. As I said on the first page:
Ah, so you actually deal with customers on a regular basis. I didn't realise that. Perhaps (and I'm not having a go) you are a little less likely to agree from a consumers perspective because you take your position of knowledge for granted. This is probably why it lead to the sentence that I took issue with.
I can see we are more or less on the same page though, so I'm sorry I automatically associated you with those in this thread who just want to push the blame onto the consumer instead of considering the problem this will inevitably cause.
