Ah nope? TLOU2 price was 280,00R$. You add another 10$, it's going to be around 350R$.
The season pass prices should go up to 35$ in general as well, so that's another 120-150R$.
So close to R$500,00 it is for a complete game experience next gen in brasil for PS5.

But compared to prices on PC it's complete nuts. I mean, Cyberpunk 2077 is R$200 on Steam right now

Yeah I kinda know. Here is a land with no law, old ass Pokemon game is +R$300,00

No way they gonna keep that price. But I wonder if this gonna scare them to sell things here. Sony left Brazil a while ago.

It may happen to PS5 what happened to Switch here, piracy running rampant.

To add a bit of context.

PS4 was launched here at R$4000 when $1 = $2.35

PS5 is being launched at R$5000 when $1 = R$5.25

The dollar doubled the value but Sony only added R$1000 to their prices. It is actually an odd situation where the PS5 is very close to the price in Europe.

We don’t have the most expensive PS5 in the world like we had with PS4.

That is a big win.

Sure but I don't think many people bought at that price. I got mine for R$1800 on Mercado Livre, right after launch

Yeah but the Dollar was At 3 at the time. PS5 DE should be at the price of the PS4 pro right now. So around R$3.300,00 from ML (Paraguay). PS5 Disc should cost around R$4.000,00.

I find kind insane that you were willing to pay R$8000, not judging.
Also R$350 for games really stings, i don't have much faith in the gray market
I paid more in my MacBook Pro in the past... if I remember 17k... sold years late at 12k.

I paid 2700 at launch due some cupom discounts I have on Submarino.
The price in 1x was 3500... 4000 was in 2 or more parcels.

I found one these days the LG Dual Inverter 12k BTU at R$1299... I checked the CNPJ and it was from a auto center in n a city different from what the site said lol

After I found relates of consumers that never received the product.

Yeah..

Many dishonest people love these kind of opportunities to take advantage of desperate consumers who are impulsive fools, unfortunetly

The negative part of this is that I am not seeing the gray market selling any significantly cheaper, exactly because we all expected official prices to be much worse, wich gives the Idea that we are willing to pay for that price that still is high for Just an entertainning system

Considering that anyone can get one in Paraguay to sell on the gray market, I don't see how the sellers would have control of the price. But the difference to the US price is lower this time, so the difference to the gray market price is gonna be lower as well.

The preorders are already Sold Out in America and Australia... not sure about Europe... some are saying the retails are putting consumers in the Q1 2021 list.

Brasil will probably receive low stock... I will have to wake up early tomorrow to pre-order it.

I’m not really worried yet, those prices may be a no go for most people, but who knows...

I’ll try to reserve mine as well ASAP though

I'm in hopes that some friend will go to the US so they can bring it to me.

It will cost half the price and by then Demon's souls will be at discount.

The worst part to me is the games pricing. The hardware is not as expensive as i thought it would.

Yall tripping.

I'd be paying 2k for a Disc Drive PS5.

But to be fair, a flagship phone costs about 3.5k where I live, so its not that bad.

Sony Brazil still exists? 🤭

anyway, a far cry from my expectations about going up to 8k reais at least. DE should get a much steeper price difference though. For just 500 reais, I'd go with a disc drive as well. Come on, it's 400/500 dollars, so should be 4k/5k reais

Brazil is such a surreal country that the Oculus Quest 2 just announced for $300 will likely turn up here for way above 6K reais, which is the current import price for the Quest 1, all taxes in. Because it's "newer" and import assholes don't care how much it actually costs...

PS5 digital is 20% less everywhere, but in Bostil it's just a 10% difference. They keep fucking us!

Well, I might say I am impressed with these prices - was expecting much worse. But buying gaming electronics in Brazil is a sad affair.

Calling BR pricing at 808€ for a 499€ console 'very close' shows me how fucked your prices must be. Godspeed.

As a brazilian i have to wonder why the fuck would anyone spend that kind of money on a console to also have so spend a fuckton of money on each game purchase and for the ability to use the internet that you already pay for when you can build a good pc with that money and then don't get completely fucked on pricing of games. It's even cheaper if you already have a decent pc to build upon on and only really need to upgrade one part or two to see a significant performance or quality boost. Hell in several cases you can spend literally fuckall and build a 20+ library with all the giveaways that go on from different stores/publishers.

With those console prices I'd go PC and pirate the shit out of anything that remotely interests me if I was under those conditions.

If those game prices are correct (R$250-R$350) I think 40-56€ for games isn't too bad though.

How much is average pay, tho?
Looking at google the average is 385€ month! And minimum wage about 190€ , crazy! How much is a rent in Brazil??? How sustainable to have 70$ games ? It’s not even gaming , how much is to eat?

Pagar R$5000 num console é loucura demais. Vou esperar 2022-2023, ver se alguém é eleito pra o país voltar há algum lugar de bom.
Bozo tá cagando pra isso aí (aliás pra tudo).

We protested a little while back but it didn't do much. And it really doesn't matter who the president is considering the ones who are truly in control (and fucking things up) is the "Centrão", something like "The big center" which refer to a large group of politicians in charge that don't have any real allegiance and only truly care about lining their own pockets.

Oh c'mon. Doesn't matter if bolsonaro is in charge or not. Whoever enters if he gets out will, at the end of the day, have to bow down to the camara whims regardless if they wish to do any sort of proper governing, resulting in all the shit we're already familiar with.

Most of the government expenses are to pay public workers. They are the strongest elite of the country and block any try to cut any expense.

Aside, the far left is against any tax cut, they demand more and more.

Tried in the past, including other countries in south america. Never works. Even in a extreme case where the population puts down the government in favor of a new order, the new order just ends up corrupt itself.
