There are just two days left to go for this kickstarter and it's currently only $3k short of it's $70k target. The spiel on the kickstarter describes it as:
"a Metroidvania-influenced action platformer set in a futuristic world where your greatest foe has been revived from the dead and is seeking revenge. The game combines melee combat with exploration elements spanning 8 separate, non-linear levels."
I don't have any connection to the game, creator, or kickstarter whatsoever, and all my info comes from the kickstarter itself. I just thought there might be some people here that would be interested. It's so close to being funded, and any little extra might be enough to push it over the line.
To be honest, I haven't even decided whether or not to back it myself. The graphics, sound and gameplay (insomuch as it's possible to tell from a few clips) all seem great, and it seems like the kind of high-quality project that would have been funded much quicker if it had been requesting funding a couple of years ago. It's just that the indie market is so saturated nowadays that it's hard to make an impression. On the other hand, I grew up playing Shinobi games and am a sucker for both ninja games and pixel art, so I probably will back it. It kind of looks like a lost Neo Geo Ninja Gaiden game.
It's $20 for a digital copy and $45 for a physical Switch/PS4 copy (unfortunately, no Xbox One version has been announced)
Anyway, the choice to back or not is yours.
