Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare |OT| Space Ghosts

Because Reyes is flight leader.

Also I really doubt they wanted to make double the amount of cutscenes and dialogue depending on the situations (since Salter doesn't come on all missions.)

Plus I think they made Brian Blooms character the main character for 2 reasons.

1. He's been doing voice work on the franchise for a while now and never was a main character.
2. He actually helped write the campaign and such.

LOL, beat that timed escape by just sprinting on the left. Right past that big mech, dudes, etc. It felt so cheesy but I'm just glad to be done with that mission. The stuff that came after has been fun. The side mission raid things.

Is the entire Zombies mode still built around finding easter eggs / doing really obscure things to progress?
Of course!

It's still Zombies mode.
Jeez, campaign stuff

Since the guy have the same rank as her partner why they officers dindt ask her to be the capitain?

I mean that was a wasted opportunity to use the a woman prot in a "are you a boy or a girl" rpg choice

THAT'S WHAT I SAID when I played the game for the first time. They totally could've asked Salta as well. Flight leader or not.

This is a good thing to me unless they're super short and a load screen follows everytime. I'm just ready for a good story.

Cutscenes actually are not very short at all and there are no loading screens, at least they are hidden behind cutscenes and transtion scenes, it really adds to the immersiveness of the campaign.

Cant comment on whether the story is good or not as I am only a few hours in but the characters and presentation are great so far. Best CoD campaign for me by far.

Am I crazy or is double exp not working the way I think it is?

Like, I'm getting more exp...but there is no fucking way I'm getting double what I was getting.

The totals after the match just aren't twice what they had been. Unless I'm missing something big here.

Yeah. Honestly leveling in the 20s feels normal. Doesn't feel like double xp.

Anyone also happy like me in multiplayer when unlocking new guns or something else you don;t have to spend points on it? Like in black ops 3, that is such a cumberstone, i mean you can choose from 3 perks from the get go total of 9 different ones you red, blue, green.

yes very much

yes,

also the pick 10 system sucks too.

Is there an area I can go to see time played and my over all stats? I've put a good amount of time in and I wanted to have a solid number before I said too much about it.

I just tried Activisions recommendation for port forwarding 3074 to the console. Not sure if I did it right but I just had a bunch of good matches where things seem a lot more fair and my kdr is back to what it typically is in CoD. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Can you miss taking out the deck of cards enemies, and what are the consequences for that if it is possible?

I found it to be a little strange as well, but there is an audio recording on the computer that explains why they wouldn't consider her first. I actually really like her character, and she would have needed to be quite a bit different in the leader role. Also, while she may not be the playable character I would consider her just as central a character as Reyes. That said, I'd totally be game for her being the main playable character or co-op partner in a sequel, assuming she survives.

I love the Pick-10 system. I'm also glad they cut out the wildcards in favor of just making extra slots cost two points. Makes Create-a-Class a lot less cumbersome.

You'll get them all if you do every side mission. There aren't any consequences aside from not getting a silver trophy.

I'd be up for that. Salter was a good character. Though something tells me she's going to be following in the footsteps of Soap, Woods, and Gideon.

Isn't Reyes the squad leader? Even thought their the same rank that had an effect on it?

I just finished the Single-player. Wow.

That was just... I think I may start a spoiler thread cause there's a lot I want to talk about without spoiling those in this thread.

Advanced Warfare was my favorite SP of CoD recently and I do believe this surpassed that.

Just a wonderful SP.

That moment when you realize you're literally walking Ethan to his death. Like holy shit that is some heavy stuff! And those recordings during the credits? The game really sold the theme of life and death in the campaign. How much one is willing to sacrifice for others. Characters dropped like flies near the end but it didn't feel hollow, it felt like there was a point to all of it.

I know others would rather them go into the past but... I want Infinite Warfare 2. I want to see where Salter goes after this. The war isn't over, at least I don't think.

First off, this game easily has the best QTE in the series because you're supposed to stop.

I would love to see a follow up campaign with Slater as the lead. This is the best campaign in a long time, even as someone who really liked AW's as well, but ended weak. This, I feel, doesn't.

I liked that if Infinite Warfare wont have a sequel, the ending was complete and that it doesn't feel as if a part 2 needs to happen yet if it does that their is enough left to the story to base a sequel on.

I got to give them credit. I really expected Reyes to actually live in the end. You know? Grab onto something, maybe everyone thinks he's dead but not really. To get that sequel bait... but then you realize. No. He's going to die just as he believed would happen. More so considering that Brian Bloom wrote this. He wrote in that his own character would die.

But yeah, would anyone object to a spoilers thread?

Yeah. I mean it would suck not to know what happens next and I know they said they want to make it a new sub-franchise. But yeah, even if that doesn't happen I'm still immensely satisifed with what we got.

Of course not. Of all the Call of Duty games to warrant discussion about its story, Infinite Warfare is the one most deserving of it.

After Ghosts, Infinity Ward was smart not to pull a cliffhanger with this one. The rule of thumb for any series, no matter whether you want a trilogy or not, is to never end the first entry on a cliffhanger. That's what the sequel is for.

I just spent some time playing titanfall this evening and decided to try IW multi. How the fuck can people play this. You take two steps and your dead. There's no flow cause ya can't do anything. Then there's the movement that's so slow and clunky. It's so far off from what they did with Modern Warfare. ugh.

i take back what i said earlier, this game's multiplayer is straight up garbage.
the flow of the game and the way you have to play in order to succeed is nonsensical.

i wish i could delete just the MP from my hard drive.

I finished the campaign. This was a really good scifi game. Thank you! Ethan is my new favorite AI/Robot.

same here, Ethan rocks.

What controller sensitivity are you guys using for MP?

The flow and slow movement is just horrible and the biggest turn off for me, even over the walk forward die and shoot first and die first issues, it's not fluid at all like Black Ops 3 advanced movement system is.

I just to say this is simply the best COD game since MW . It's just to well made and such a delight to play thanks to top notch gameplay the most impressive big scale set pieces I have ever seen and a pretty stonking game engine powering it all

How did the Xbox One version pass cert? This is the only cod I've played that has terrible fps.
It has some issues, but I haven't had any frame rate problems in MP, and the SP frame rate is fairly solid. At the very least it runs considerably better than Black Ops 3 did in the campaign.

Side note, Black Ops 3 being sandwiched between this and Advanced Warfare really highlights how much of a train wreck it's campaign was. Treyarch better step up their game on their next go, especially if Advanced Warfare 2 (here's hoping) is as good as the last one.

What's wrong with Zombies matchmaking ? I can't even find players. Or if I do it's like one or two and we can't start. It only works with 4 players ?

NAT type is open and multiplayer works flawlesly

4 and 3, with Bumper Jumper Tactical.

I'll swear by BJT. Being able to jump and aim is already an amazingly big advantage, but being able to slide by clicking in the right stick is something I never thought I'd use so much. Once I switched to this control layout, my performance in matches went way up; I was able to be so much more aggressive with slides, and they were easier to pull off as a defensive maneuver. Plus, steering a slide is a lot easier when it's mapped to the same stick you tilt to move the camera.

the bonus game coming with the modern warfare remaster is actually better than i thought ... not far into it yet, but so far the campaign is quite enjoyable.

I don't think that a game can even start without 4 players in the match making, so yes? In the beginning I had problems finding players (PS4) but now I rarely wait to long to find a game.

If any of you folks are looking to play zombies or multi on PS4, my PSN ID is Triscuitable. Drop me a friend request and let's play.

UAVs everywhere. I finally unlocked Ghost and the game plays much better now.

UAVs need to be nerfed, hard. Hardline needs a nerf, too; instead of giving bonus score, make it start people with 100 or 150 points. As they are right now, the two together mean you can get a UAV every three kills, with a CUAV on the fourth kill, which pair together to easily build you up to your third scorestreak.

UAVs need to cost more points to deploy. I'd say 450 at minimum, but ideally 500. Make people actually work for it. They're way too spammy right now. I run Ghost on every single one of my classes because they're just too damn powerful.

I enjoyed Infinite Warfare's campaign, even more then MWR's campaign. I especially liked the military sci-fi aesthetic.
If there is gonna be a sequel, I hope they implement a Shadow of Mordor like system with the deck of cards.

While not perfect, Frontlines fixes a lot of my issues with the MP imho.

Same here. In regular TDM to do anything but get melted instantly you need to camp. The game feels really claustrophobic.

Frontlines makes it so you have a chance to set up a firefight or some back and forth at least.

Wtf is going on, I'm losing every 1vs1 gunfight even if I shoot first. I think my weapons are shooting fucking marshmallows. I only get kills when I can shoot them from behind. Is something wrong with the hit detection in this game? I'm doing fine in MWR, winning most of the 1vs1, but in IW it's an absolute struggle. I get melted in 2 milliseconds

I'm finding the same, might switch up to an SMG.
