Can a moderator ban me please?

giphy.gif

How hard was it to use the "Contact Us" to do this or sending a message to a moderator? Good that besides your drive-by comment about the site, that you are keeping civil, but you should know how forums work, I assume.
Best of luck to you. :messenger_sunglasses:

EDIT: I should also wonder why getting banned would matter at all, considering you've not been using your account for about the last 2 years (and very little then even). It feels like you're just doing this as a display, honestly. 🤡

Banned
This website turned into a dumpster fire.

Thank you.

Why do you have to create threads like this when you want out?
You're either an attention whore who needs to announce their departure to anyone that will listen or someone that needs to be banned because they lack the self control to not visit a website that they don't even like in the first place.

Don't ban this bitch. Keep him around so that we can ridicule his attention whore behaviour when he inevitably can't control himself and posts again in the future.

While I think that would be entertaining, respecting people's wishes in terms of their accounts should be the right thing to do and likely the legal right thing to do as well. We can make funny pictures and laugh though.

My solution would be to remove thread and posting privileges from anyone who hasn’t posted since December 1 2017.

Remove tag if they have one.

Take them back to noob status.

I always found it funny how some people do this. Instead of, you know, stop using the site you choose to use it in order to tell everyone you don't want to use it.

If that's not a prime example of attention seeking then i don't know what it is.

I don’t mind “goodbye everyone” posts but when it’s done just to basically say “lol I’m on Era now” as this post seems to do then yeah it feels pretty unnecessary

It is a little weird isn't it.

They haven't been here in 18 months. No one was wondering where they were, no one was looking for them.

And if the thought was "I don't want to be associated with the site"... they weren't. Because no one knows who the fuck they are. Not just right now, but even when they were posting here. They still weren't associated with the site.

Even 24 hours after their last post here, no one was wondering what happened to them.

I sympathise OP.

Why, just last week I got a bit annoyed whilst frequenting my local working mans club. The place had been redecorated and some of the new customers weren’t quite to my liking. I put down my snooker queue and in a loud voice I demanded, DEMANDED!! .. That a member of staff escort me off the premises.

Obviously I could have just got up quietly and seen myself out with some measure of dignity, but then nobody would have even known that I’d gone.

So like you, I flounced out in full drama queen style. Sometimes it’s not easy being an attention seeking little bitch.

Is this supposed to be a joke thread?

If you want to be removed just pm and contact a mod or something, you know, like a normal person. This sound like a thread bait desperate for attention. Grow up.

Never understood the idea of doing this. Just stop using the website if you hate it that much. Do you not trust yourself to stop posting or something?

Redneckerz

Those long posts don't cover that red neck boy
A lot of posts make a lot of suggestive notions and not all those are done with the best of intentions, with subtle jabs or straight-on insults. I think that's disappointing and, to bring out a popular rhetoric, ''Not a good look''.

If an bystander would simply look at the responses given, it kinda proves a point. Heck, if you just want to jump to conclusions as that bystander, than OP's short summary wouldn't be completely over the top.

Most account suicides are clearly done with an intent to piss people off. This one didn't do any of that, and its only fault, if you can call it that, is not doing this in a less public manner. Assuming good faith tells me he may not have known of this.

Wish you would’ve elaborated so se could try and improve in the face of valid criticism, but oh well. Good luck!
The thing with valid criticism is that on an average GAF day its not so much criticism as it is being lacking into presenting it in a constructive and uplifting manner.

That's the thing with this OP. Its wrong in the sense that its completely unnuanced, and its right because there is some merit to it.

Disclaimer: Not the voice of reason nor pretending to be. Just my 2 cents on this topic.

Enjoy the flipside, user.
