We don't know why he keeps buying PAL, either.

Well this is nonsense. There wasn't even a countdown to it! Although it is interesting that Capcom joined the ridiculous announcements fight with Square Enix and Konami :lol

That's at the end of every publicly-traded companies' press releases, if the release has anything remotely to do with something that is going to happen in the future.

They have to put that disclosure there, otherwise it could be claimed the announcement was just an attempt to manipulate the stock.

But couldn't they just put "If shit happens, we didn't do it"? That's a full 500 Words less :D

The Japanese version is actually a rather normal Japanese press release, but the translation is a bit too... er, unofficial that it sounds weird...

It doesn't come off as being quite as tongue-in-cheek as the English version, but that doesn't change it's still a 2-line press release of nothing about another announcement.

Hm... I guess that's because they assumed everyone knows what they're talking about (Sengoku Basara 3)
Basically the press release says 'no, we did not announce Sengoku Basara 3 on the Wii, and no, we're not confirming it in anyway, yes or no.'

Usually the japanese will release press release like this when there's a big news published and everyone knew what happened.

But that doesn't make the English version less funny though...:lol

The translation really is pretty bad. I assume it was just some Capcom employee who can write *some* English who quickly whipped up an English version.

Here is something a little more accurate:

"There were reports about our company in certain media outlets today, but the contents of such reports are not based off of any official Capcom announcements.

Product information will be announced as it becomes available."

They are pretty much just saying that any reports in the media are not based off of official Capcom announcements and that they have nothing to announce at this time. It's just typical damage control.

This is some cloak and dagger stuff. Game secrets are the most secret secrets ever, soon you will need a one time pad to view the latest Timmy's Bouncy Castle Adventure screen shots.

They seriously need to work on their localization efforts. Golly gee whiz.

BTW... Capcoms mind blowing sequal was Dead Rising 2. Hijack.
