Don't think I'll do it again this year. Last year's was a little disappointing, despite becoming a property owner.

This has almost nothing to do with whether you thinks CAH is fun. It's a giant puzzle/ARG thing that you need work together to solve. Regardless of whether CAH is fun, the holiday things are fun if you like solving puzzles.

Tumblr --->

Cards Against Humanity is basically a way for boring people to come together and pretend to have a sense of humour for however long it takes them to realize that the judging is based entirely on who has the most offensive non sequitur, but by all means blame it on Tumblr. That's a pretty good non sequitur in itself.

Do you complain about Mad Libs too?

Mad Libs are actually more creative than Cards Against Humanity.

Is this the add-on that makes the game fun?

Some people need an outlet for being intolerant bullies that is more accepted by society because it is dressed up as a "game". I don't have appropriate level of smugness to enjoy the game myself but if you have asshole level of over 6.4, I am sure it is tons of fun.

hey look, this guy doesn't think cards against humanity is fun

Hey everybody check this guy out he doesn't like Cards Against Humanity.

edit:

damnit

Honestly, after playing quite a few times (10+ for me) it stops being fun. People know which cards they will choose because they think it's funny to them, regardless of what the other players say. That's how it ended up with my friends and me, and we rarely play it anymore.

Drawful (Jackbox Party Pack) is where it's at. And Codenames, as well, based on what I've heard of it

Edit- I still like playing it with people who are new to the game

I have to ask: You keep posting in here, even though you clearly dislike the game. Why do you feel the need to show everyone how superior you are to us "boring people"?

It's not that I think you are wrong, but expressing it like this in a thread where people are genuinely and excitedly sharing something going on with the game is pretty shitty.

...or it's a fun game to play while drunk at a party for some laughs.

Cards Against Humanity is barely a game. You can't possibly defend it.

Look how clever I am ha ha kids with ass cancer

Last time I did this, only got some of the gifts and I didn't get the cool ones like Hawaii 2 and the lump of coal. Not worth the money if they haven't fixed the shipping problem yet.

It's a ton of fun when you play with a group of friends or just random people. But when you play with couples or you're an outsider in a close-knit group it gets irritating because they'll usually pick each other's cards regardless of what you put down.

I agree. Mad Libs at least gives you a story at the end, instead of a sentence. That story also showcases the different senses of humor everyone in the group has, as opposed to trying to "guess" the humor of whoever is judging or trying to be so "out there" that you get voted as the winner just by principle.

If the winner of each round was judged by anonymous vote, it might be a better game.

It's Apples to Apples. Is that a game?

It's at least a game you can play with a broader audience, which lends itself to more creativity. Apples to Apples still suffers from the same mechanics and scoring system.

Honestly, after playing quite a few times (10+ for me) it stops being fun. People know which cards they will choose because they think it's funny to them, regardless of what the other players say. That's how it ended up with my friends and me, and we rarely play it anymore.

Exactly. You may find one response to be the "best" and I may find another to be the "best" one to pick.

If you know your friends well enough, it becomes stale.

It's great for maybe a party game that's simple enough that everyone in a group of unknown acquaintances can follow without much explanation or hand holding.

Even then, I still prefer Apples to Apples or Cranium, as they're less crass.

To stay on topic, last year's stuff was ass. Not the good kind of ass either. I didn't buy into it because I don't like how lazy CAH is getting with their cards and such, but my friends who did all said it sucked. Not giving it a try this year either.

Can someone who has done this before explain what exactly this is/we get? Do we get the game?

Last year we got a few packs of cards, two personalized cards, some miracle berries, a piece of an island in Maine, some other card game, a bunch of stickers with swear words on them. Umm, might have been more.

Last year they gave out a collection of random stuff. I got a few exclusive cards (including a white card with my name on it and a black card that also used my name), a book of email complaints that they kept, and the deed to a cubic foot of a small island.

Usually you get a small pack of cards, a poster, or something else random every day.

Last year we got two personalized cards, some miracle berries, a piece of an island in Maine, some other card game, a bunch of stickers with swear words on them. Umm, might have been more.

This is helpful, thanks.

Not what I'm looking for (don't even own the game), but could be cool for some.

No, you get a bunch of stuff that's ancillary to the game. Last year, they gave out stuff like stickers with crude sayings on them, two personalized CAH cards with your name on them, some Miracle Berries (which change the way things taste), a Sunday morning funnies page of different cartoons, and an actual deed to own a foot of land on a small island in Maine. It's kind of cool once, but I wouldn't do it again.

this thread is almost identical to the video that plays on the site for this. Immediately 100% off the rails, and instead of going through a littany of Jewish girls' names, it's just reasons why you don't like Cards Against Humanity.
