Yeah and they suck up more flavor when you marinate since they're not as chunky.

1 is true.
2 is not.

White meat is the best meat.
I don't like dark meat at all.

Yeah, and best of all, they don't dry out like breasts do. However, they're much fattier than breasts. The only place I've been to that seems to know how to cook breasts/breast meat without drying it out and making it delicious is Zaxby's. But it's all bad for you, really. Breast meat is still the healthier way to go it seems, if you can get past all the shit they put into chickens these days and the terrible treatment they receive during their short lives.

When my family gets Popeyes, I always go for the breasts. Semi-recently, I got a thigh instead, and I raved about how good it was. My mother and brother responded that they were glad I was eating the breasts because that meant they could have the thighs for themselves.

But it doesn't matter. Anyone who eats Popeye's knows it's all about the skin, and the breast wins there.

Are chicken thighs really cheaper? I always get the huge bag of frozen chicken breasts for $20 and those last me a month.

I was referring to rubs/batter (non cutting methods) should have been specific.

I've got a bag of breasts like that in my freezer right now tbh.

Someone said this to me recently at work and I didn't have a response to give either way because I can't think of a time when I've had chicken thighs. I would undoubtedly prefer boneless, though.

This thread is bullshit.

A good breast is the best piece while the thigh is usually the worst of the major pieces.

I do love thighs, but isn't white meat the healthier option? I usually try to save dark meat and skin for special occasions and stick to skinless breasts (from a big frozen bag!) for weeknight meals.

I didn't say healthier. I said better.

I'm a holistic lover of common farm fowl. Both white and dark meat are delicious. So many amazing marinades, spices, and barbecue varieties that can be cooked in any number of ways. Plus, I keep track of local grocery store prices, and I'm pretty sure that one part or another of the animal is on sale almost at all times.

I guess what I'm saying is if you're not down with some juicy, delicious chicken of any type, I don't know what to do with you.

Of course.

But chicken wings are the most overrated piece tho.

Thighs and back are the god-tier pieces.

I always go for thighs when I buy chicken. Chicken breasts are fine, but a bit too dry for my liking. Not enough fat.
