Well they showed lots of things in the previews and it's 'secrets revealed' tag could mean many things. And even though Bounty Hunters was the tag last season, they were involved in like only 25% of the episodes at best.

Much better episode. The animation and art were quite nice, Alderaan looked like a painting. The confrontation at the end was nicely done too with Sing.
We got the first 2 episodes of this series here today (finally). I quite liked them, especially the second one. I did find the whole story around 99 quite brutal and depressing though.
It looks like the cgi has taken another step forward, its pretty remarkable how good it looks.
They cut asajj's kiss out of it here too.

Yea that scene really stuck out. Really love the painted brush look they are using on textures, it seems much more prominent this season on everything.

Season 2 box sets are out today. The booklet and inside features some funny artwork parodying Good, Bad, and the Ugly, as well as a Japanese Zillo Beast parody.

Apparently it's a 3PO and R2 focused episode so this is a crapshoot of what to expect... but more Cad Bane is always good.
Also peak at the following weeks episode, the title of which is kind of a spoiler but the highlight of course is the reveal of Quinlan Vos in the Clone Wars. Thought it was pretty forgettable episode. It was light hearted episode which I'm fine with, but it just felt completely pointless and adds nothing to the Ziro story line they are going with. The next episode though looks very interesting with Vos and Obi Wan versus Bane. And even the other hutts think Ziro is wierd :lol

According to the artbook for the series hes had cosmetic surgery :lol
Don't think it's a natural hutt color, he's also covered in tattoos, as well as being one of the few who apparently likes to speak basic.

Greedo speaking basic didn't bug me, Rodians have in other sources spoke it. I was more bothered by many other things in that episode, like blasters doing nothing to wood tables.

Two previews are now up showing a bunch of footage of the upcoming story arcs introducing Savage Oppress (you don't pronounce it like it reads). Course might want to avoid the 2nd clip as it might seem spoilerish perhaps.

First clip shows some of the Republic Commandos, not sure if thats Delta Squad or another team though. It probably is though since one of the Commando's helmets has the same painted markings as Sev from the game.

Was also nice to see them have Quinlan using his unique tracking by touching ability that he had in the comics, nice little touch.
The dance sequence was also apparently a homage to the one at the beginning of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

They are getting rid of the armor for the most part, Anakin growing hair, Aksoka got rid of the tube top :lol
They are making her a bit taller it seems, and shes adopting a 2nd saber (a shoto,not a full sized blade). I would assume this means from now on we might be seeing the series moving onwards in the timeline instead of all the jumping back and tossing in these in between episodes that have filled season 3 so far.

Many other regular characters are supposed to be getting new clothing and models in future eps. Ahsoka really grew much taller it seems, she was about as tall as Padme now almost.
The art and animation in this episode was surprisingly good, like Alderaan few episodes back. Probably the best so far in the series, great lighting too.

You can see such a big difference in the animation smoothness and art from the pilot to the current episodes. Was very stiff looking, especially the lightsaber stuff.
The Separatist senate seems to be kind of modeled after British Parliment. Nice to finally see normal people on the Separatist side and how the banks and corporations are basically playing both sides to keep the war going for profit. Hope they show some more of the non "muahahah" side of the seps in future eps.

I normally don't like the political episodes because they're usually boring as dirt and lacking in substance, but last night's episode was really interesting. It seems like they were making a pretty obvious criticism of American politics with the debate about deregulating the banks and the military contractors pushing senators to escalate the war. I'm glad they're helping our kids understand how corrupt our government is :lol
I never got the link between Star Wars and commentary on the US government.
They said the same thing for the Prequel Trilogy, on how Palpatine was like Bush/Cheney and the War on Terrorism was a fake war like the Clone Wars, but I never really 'got it'.
But I guess that's because I never really cared much for politics during the Bush era.

I'm not talking about Star Wars in general, but this episode was pretty on the nose. We just had a financial crisis fueled by banking deregulation and easy credit, and those were the two things the villains in this episode were asking for.

Since the live action tv show might not be happening since they are having a hard time figuring out how to do it within a budget that is realistic, I would think doing another CG series would be the best thing for them. They will by then have lot of art assets done and experienced team of people, and the live action show was going to take place between trilogies.

That would actually be really awesome. I think I like the Ep.III - Ep. IV period the best, and it would be a good twist considering that everyone is assuming Asoka will die. Also, Asoka versus her turned-to-the-darkside former master would add some much needed emotional resonance.

This series' art style is now starting to look great, but it was still designed for 2D hand drawn animation, and that's where it looks best.
Not asking for realism, but just different.

Comes back tomorrow after last weeks hiatus. It's a senate focused episode with Padme again and takes place right before last seasons "senate murder" episode. Don't really expect anything good from this episode. Senators in trouble, meh, we also know the outcome so unless they really pull something neat out for this episode, it looks like it will be crap.
One interesting thing is that the preview shows that a Selkath will be making an appearance in this episode. For those who don't remember them, they were the beings on the water planet in the first KOTOR video game. They have only appeared in some comic stuff mostly in the KOTOR eras, so it's interesting to see a Bioware creation being used in Clone Wars.

Wasn't that bad of an episode as I thought I guess, nothing really memorable though. Is the show taking a break till January or something? The preview for the next episode seems to indicate as such, as it looks like they are finally getting into the whole Ventress/Opress/Dathomir arc soon

This season if you look at it has practically had no war in it, it's been so far all in between material. The attack on Kamino was like the only actual real war stuff so far. The next story arc they are going into with Ventress and the intro of Savage Opress looks like it's going to be involving quite a bit more action and moving forward finally. Apparently the first half of season 3 has been mostly episodes filling in random gaps in the past 2 seasons like showing what was with Ziro's escape in season 1 that was never explained till now.
From the official sites episode guide it sounds like for the 2nd half of the season they are going to be moving forward with less jumping around after these senate episodes.
