well, i just googled and the eps aired in the UK already on the Sky Premiere HD channel on the 19th and 26th. so, it's not a leak, just Cartoon Network not being first.

Yup, finale was pretty good.

Some interesting character development with regards to Ashoka.

That was a good finale. I never really tire of "The Most Dangerous Game" scenarios. Not as much Chewbacca as I thought after all the anticipation, but I guess I should have seen that coming after how the Greedo hype for that other episode turned out. He was very well handled though. Plenty of great Ahsoka moments, especially the one at the end of Part 1.

And once again we see Anakin showing too much emotional attachment to her. It's like the third or fourth time. It seems more and more likely he'll have another flip out when Ahsoka meets her fate like he did when his Mom died. He already kinda did in the Brain Invaders episode via Force Choke interrogation.

I'm guessing Season 4 doesn't start until Fall, but is there any specific date?

Seasons 1 and 2 started at the beginning of October and season 3 started mid September, so 4 will start somewhere in that range.

So on the early end of Fall, that's cool. Now I wait for new episodes of Young Justice and Avengers and hope they can last me until then.

Decent pair of episodes, still didn't feel like much of a season finale though. Still think this should have been aired a while ago with the mortis trilogy following it, and the season finale should have been the Savage Opress/Nightsister trilogy. Season 4 preview doesn't really reveal much but the season 3 preview was same way till we got the awesome full trailers closer to release in late summer.

Was also neat to see the Trandoshans using the shotguns which they used in the Republic Commando game.

I just watched the 'Force Planet' trilogy and my god that was some heavy handed writing. I went back to earlier in the thread to see what everyone else thought, and they were all riding it's jock. It was a horrible waste of time. It not only featured a men in black memory wipe, but then it did the entire 'It's also a dream' thing.

Was I the only one to be surprised that the Asoka head dress thing is actually like her hair? I thought it was something she could take off.

it was kinda weak finale just because this entire season was pretty strong.

wow next season preview already. ITS A TRAP :P

A nice two parter.

The graphics were spectacular, as is expected from a Clone Wars premiere/finale.

I thought the music used for Chewbacca was a bit wrong though. The correct one would have been the Rebel theme, which is what used to identify him and Solo in the movies, not The Force theme.

Anyway, not as excited for Season 4 as I was excited for Season 3 after Season 2. Season 2 is still the best one. Season 3 was nice though.

Not really, it's part of the Togruta race. Would have been odd if they could remove something part of their head.

Just shows my ignorance of other species I guess. Can you tell me why she has adopted a modified power girl look?

You mean the open front chest part? Well she at least didn't get giant boobs to go along with it. They simply updated the base character models of the main cast and are doing so for pretty much all the characters going into season 4 now. They wanted to also grow up Ahsoka going into this season so she got new model that also was made taller as well as other changes to body and clothing.

So at Wonder Con they pretty much confirmed the Mon Cal in the Season 4 teaser is
Ackbar

Of course, they are not going to miss
name dropping a movie character, no matter how insignificant he is to the plot
.

They didn't mention him by name. Someone asked if any Classic Trilogy characters show up in Season 4 and they said "You already saw one in the trailer". He's the only one that fits.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first two parts, even if they weren't that plot relevant. But the last one was weak, especially with the mind wipe/dream part thrown in. Anakin's glimpse into the future was the only good part, and they didn't even do anything particular special with it.

Still, the first two parts were fun episodes and made it worthwhile to me.

I thought it was cool how we got a glimpse of the Original Trilogy through the lenses of the Clone Wars art style.

You can expect Ackbar to be mentioned by name in almost every ad for the episode he is in by Cartoon Network.

Well good thing I don't watch it on Cartoon Network. I wait for the Blu-Rays.

Even the creators say they can't stand to watch it on TV because it's cropped so bad. The show's designed for the big screen, which is why the Blu-Rays are 2.20:1 like the movies.

Panel at WonderCon:

Ahsoka understands Chewbacca thanks to her training at the temple. Han just understands his emotes.

George Lucas comes up with the ideas for all episodes now. Asks Dave for his ideas for the season. Rex and Ahsoka's fate are big for Dave.

It's hard to watch the show on TV. All Joel can think about is how much detail is missing. How much the picture is cropped.

#CloneWars is produced for the big screen.

George comes up with the episode ideas now? As in Season 4, or has he already been on it? If he's already been playing his hand in the last few episodes, then great. If not...well, guess we'll have to see how it goes.

The show has improved a great deal since season 1.

I hope you're right because after watching tartakovsky clone wars and seeing this, I can't imagine how anyone could enjoy this newer series. :shrug

For anyone who does like this new series, this is my opinion so please don't kill me. :begsforforgiveness

you sound like you only seen season one. of course you will have that opinion. granted, I don't think The Clone Wars is as good as Clone Wars, but it's still worth watching with season 2 and 3

The season finale was pretty nice. Though I still have the same problem with this show that I did after season 1. It's not shown in order but developed according to themes. It's not a big problem but it is annoying when you tend to try and put things in order.

I think it's been like that for most of Season 3.

Yeah I haven't gone past season 1, though I think I'll check it out now. :)

From many of the commentaries in past seasons, the stories were GL's ideas, but they pass it along to others to do. He hasn't actually written any of the actual episodes, he just comes up with the story ideas.

I thought the daughter was writing the show for this season.

George Lucas comes up with many of the shows storylines, but he doesn't write them or direct them. GL comes up with story ideas and it's up to everyone else to make the show, Katie Lucas is an actual writer on the show since Season 2. He of course has say so on various aspects of the episodes as commentaries have pointed out how GL would say no to certain ideas others came up with or say how something should be done and whatever GL says they basically have to do. At Celebration 5 they were talking about the EU and how they try to incorporate it and respect it in the Clone Wars, but that at the end of the day GL has final say on things (like the recent death of a Jedi Master). Lot of the episode content though really is from the shows writers and directors.

I'm a little behind and just finished the three part prison escape episodes. My God! They were awesome! Action-packed! Loved everything about it. Especially the scenes between
Anakin and Tarkin and R2 leading a group of Battle Droids that were calling him "sir".

This was my favorite story for the entire series so far. I'm glad we finally get a good look at the mindset of Anakin. This is how the prequels should have been.

Gotta say I found the 1st 1/2 of season 3 to be disappointing. The series has never felt so much like a kids show :\ Last few episodes have been promising, so hopefully things turn around, but it is sad to see such a huge drop in action after S2.

The 1st half of Season 3 sucked, but it was barely nothing like a kids show.

At least, I wouldn't expect dead boring political drama to be for kids.

There was lot of one off episodes or poor "politics" episodes, yea it was an uneven season, 2 was more solid overall. The 2nd half of season 3 ended up being pretty good overall and big improvement over the 1st half.
