Comparison, for those worried about how HD Zelda looks or will look.

People moaned about a lack of HD graphics and now that the Zelda HD demo was shown, everyone starts moaning about not being good enough.

Rest assured guys, the game will look much better simply because that demo wasn't even what the real game will look like. As proven by the previous Zelda tech demos.

To demonstrate, let's look at past Zelda reveals and compare them to their final products:

Zelda 64 reveal

Zelda Gamecube reveal

And so, you're going to tell me that this:

Is not going to end up looking 10 times more badass?

Haters always gonna hate.

I'd take the nice lighting on the Gamecube Zelda reveal over the grainy higher-res textures of TP.

Of course it will look better. People just like to overreact and see who can be the biggest drama queen.

True. A lot of people were really hyped by the GC Zelda tech demo but if you actually go back and watch it, TP actually looks much better

Still don't understand why people like the felt covered Link with a plastic face and hair in the GC demo.

were the textures displayed on your HD tv?

The image was grainy due to the shitty resolution combined with detailed textures. Yes, it was on my HDTV. Games like SotC, for example, had the same problem. It's not something that TP in particular need to be called out on, but between those two screenshots I think the first one is more attractive.

Skyward Sword looks toonesque, I would be really happy with that style in HD... having said that I'd be really happy with what they showed in the final game too.

I'd really like Celda to live on in some way -- to me its practically Link to the Past's style and character realised in 3d. I want moar.

Am I the only one that would be perfectly happy with HD this:

?

I really wish they would invest $50-$100MM to do a true next gen Zelda that recaptures my childhood memory of Zelda in HD, but since that isn't happening they might as well make some people happy with a WW sequel.

I would love either. Nintendo seems fond of the Wind Waker art style for handheld Zeldas, so I guess we'll have to wait and see for Zelda 3DS

Watch the off screen I just posted above from Kotaku. Probably about as good as we are going to get.

I did, and that's what reminded me :/ haha. Still hoping though

TP looks better than the Spaceworld demo from an artistic point of view only.

Wait a second, why are you comparing tech demos to games that came out 4-5 (10?) years later?

A little too early for a reassurance topic, no?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Is anyone really worried about this? As long as the Weinerpo...er, Wii U is a generational leap from the Wii, it'll be fine by me.
