Considering selling largely unused PC in favor of PS4 Pro, want advice on sale method

As far as whether it's a dumb idea or not goes, if you've still got another main computing device that suits your needs, then I say go ahead and do whatever floats your boat.

That PS4 Pro will drop in price eventually. Are there really so many exclusives on it that you feel the need to play right now that you're willing to sell your PC to fund it?

I mean, maybe there are for you, and if there are I say go for it, but I guess I just don't see what you'd switch over for.

Individual parts are easier to sell, but from my experience it's not getting to the same value when you sell it complete.

Easiest way would be to sell it to someone you know or someone your friends know.

With more console games getting PC ports than ever, I feel like my experience is exactly the opposite. Of course, I still buy all of the platforms for exclusives, but if a game is multiplatform including PC, I don't have any reason not to pick PC.

There are hardly PS4 exclusives. Only one I've played in a few months is Bound. Horizon will be the next. It's just collecting dust.

The only reason I keep my consoles are the exclusives, otherwise I would be PC only for a long time.

If the PS Pro was a 60fps machine it would make me think though, but that's not happening.

Sounds a bit crazy unless you really need the money. I've considered the same thing in the past, but ultimately decided there was really no harm in keeping it.

You also really have to think about your digital library. I have hundreds of games on Steam, and selling my PC would effectively be a complete and total, indefinite cutoff from all of those. Not worth it to me.

Exclusives aside, I'm not sure why you wouldn't rather play all your games on the PC instead. Hardware willing, they're still going to look and perform better than anything the Pro pumps out.

Not crazy, looking at those Titanfall 2 PS4 Pro shots, consoles are now, with the exception of very expensive PC's, at least on par graphically.

Combined with SATA3 on the Pro, load times can be up there too, hopefully.

So now it really comes down to control scheme for first person shooters, controller and couch VS desk and mouse. I'm taking the lazier option

umm, we have the same specs, and I would NEVER consider doing it. Unless you don't care about frame rate or all of the other benefits over a console? I really don't understand. But, we are all adults here, so you can do what you like. But, I think it is a terrible idea. just my opinion.

The gaming point is understandable in your case.
A big question is simply, if you don't need your PC for other things. Work,school,university or maybe even just hobbies ?

yeah no if that is your pc don't do it. if you want the pro just sell your base ps4 and get one. that pc is more than capable. you can play anything out at higher quality and frames than a pro. if you need, just do a gpu upgrade.
