Corgis are the best small dogs, don't you agree?

They are working dogs so need quite a bit of exercise, both physical and mental. You'll want to get them out at least twice a day. Can definitely work in an apartment, just be prepared for them to let you know if they are bored!

Shouldn't be an issue. Like I said, I live near a dog park but I also live near a lake so I have plenty of areas to get out and about with a dog. :)

My boss owns a Corgi/Aus Shepherd mix and she's always sending me contact information for folks who have Corgis and even got me in touch with someone who runs a Corgi rescue association. I want to get a dog sometime after summer.
 
I've had 2 small dogs: A Corgi and a Boston Terrier and one large dog: an Airedale Terrier. Of those dogs, the Boston was the best because it was the smartest dog who ever lived. Anything you needed to train that dog could be done in one or two repetitions and he had it for life. The Corgi was sweet but required much more maintenance because of his coat. The Boston did fart and snore and slobber everywhere but it's still my favorite dog ever. The Airedale was a cowardly tea cup dog trapped in a 100 lb. dog's body.

I'm pet sitting my cousin's dogs this weekend (and have in the past, several times). He owns a Boston, an American Bulldog, and a mix of who knows what. The Boston is the one that demands the most attention. He snores really loudly as well. Great dog, though. He loves to wrestle.

Way undecided between a Corgi and Boston Terrier.

As a matter of fact, I was set on getting a Corgi until had the opportunity to meet that little Boston Terrier.
 
I like bigger dogs, but if I get a small dog, I'm so gonna try to get a klee kai. I know someone who has one and it is awesome.

Also, upon googling, apparently that gif that gets shown around of the dog freaking out after licking a lime slice is a klee kai!

Ok I'm changing my vote from the pug to the klee kai. I need a mini to go with my full sized model.

Yes mine was a hyper dog who loved to play but was so well trained that if you told him to settle down he would instantly. I used to give him racquetballs to play with and he learned that if he bit down on it with his slobbery mouth he could shoot them as projectiles very accurately. If you ignored him too long you would sometimes get a wet racquetball upside the head.

Also an advantage over the Corgi is that it was an incredible watch dog. The Corgi would have helped a robber carry my things outside. The Boston would have gone down fighting. Still, if he knew someone was a guest he was perfectly chill.
 
My mom has a Petit Basset (French breed) and before she had a Grand Basset. They really are the kindest dogs. Because they have been used in the hunt for a looong time, they are great fun to have in a field. They really sound the alarm and chase a flock of birds or rabbits.

They're starting to listen to me a little more. The Boston will settle down when I tell him to, sometimes. The most stubborn (and biggest wuss) of the three is the American Bulldog (no surprise there). It rained last night and he hates getting his paws wet so he refused to go outside to relieve himself. Once I get the leash, he will reluctantly walk outside on his own.

Not true. I know people who are allergic to hypo allergenic dogs, I am allergic to them as well and all of the doctors I talked to said that there is no such thing.
 
We've had a Corgi for about 3 years. Great dog, and here's a few things about him:

1. It's a male, so it can be a prick around his house if other dogs come around.
2. He's a ladies man. Follows my wife around all over, or will follow our daughter when my wife is gone.
3. He chases his "tail". I should take a video of that sometime.
4. Will bark at just about anything.
 
I like pugs and all, but they are great dogs to visit with at someone else's house. My uncle has had multiple pugs over the years and while they have personality, they're also really loud with their breathing/snoring, shed badly, have TERRIBLE separation anxiety, smell strange, don't really have bodies made for petting, and you have to regularly clean the folds of their faces and nose, which is pretty gross.
 
My Corgi is the most laid back fucker ever. She just doesn't give a shit.

Yeah sorry but I'm on #TeamPug

I've had a good share of dogs in my life but my black pug has by far the most entertaining personality of any dog I've had. Was never a fan of them before but he totally changed the way I look at pugs since we got him when he was a puppy.

Corgis are pretty adorable too and I would totally get one if I had the chance.
 
I'm not a fan of small dogs. I've always had larger dogs around me. But if I had to pick one it would probably be a pug. Those little guys are awesome.
I'm not a fan of furry and delicate lapdogs. I love dogs but I really dislike people who treat their dogs like spoiled kids instead of dogs.
