Now this is worrying.

I only noticed this due to a Twitter post when searching up for any updates on Cyberpunk, and this account which has been confirmed as a real CDPR dev by Jason Schreier posted something which in light of the recent delay makes very bleak reading.

This reddit post is a few weeks old so their statement still rings true, and given the lack of full confidence from CDPR to hit that December 10th date going off their latest round of teleconference calls: Adam Kiciński said: "We feel — maybe not comfortable, but confident [in the new release date]." Again, not the kind of comment that you want to hear if you're betting on Cyberpunk hitting its new date.

Even Michal Nowakowski, vice president of business development, doesn't seem totally sold on the idea. When asked if the game would definitely launch on the 10th December, he replied: "That's more or less what I'm saying, I guess — yes."

At least there are plenty great games dropping prior to Cyberpunk 2077 so we can try and cast our attention away from the continual disappointing delays this game is receiving.

Think on the bright side, game will be much better with the more polishing time it gets, and other games can shine which may had been overlooked prior to this recent delay.

Definitely agree mate, but I'm trying to be an Ulala Upper instead of a Debbie Downer right now concerning CB2077 because I was being really negative about it based on previews/assumptions.

Its a shitshow in terms of scheduling, they should take away the date and give the date when its firm even if that means next Summer.

It’s probably cause of the current-gen consoles, let’s be honest here.

100%, the game literally became so ambitious mid development and with RTX becoming more prominent and next gen launching, the current gen consoles were left further and further behind and now CDPR are playing last minute catch up to drag these pieces of junk to the finishing line.

I still remember the neogaf insider vetted by Bishoptl who claimed Witcher 3 was "overblown vision of a game that doesn’t exist" and then the game came out and won 265 GOTY awards.

Of course it is possible Cyberpunk will be horribly bugged and broken at launch (assuming it launches in december), but I would not bet on it. There will be some bugs here and there like in any open world RPG, but nothing terrible.

People spoke like it's was something really next gen and transitional in gameplay and graphics....later on when the actual previews came, so much had been cut down from the graphics, which already did not look all that next gen and from the gameplay pitch as well.

Sounds like the Witcher 3 to be honest.
Game wasn't unplayable or anything at launch but it still had plenty of issues, specially on consoles, and it took months of updates and patches for it to be "done and polished".

Still disappointing as you'd expect them to learn from the experience

It was a bit clunky and unresponsive. They later added a more fluid movement and you can now switch between both in settings.
