Metroid: Other M was a mix of those two too, uh oh :p (but I'm guessing it'll be something like Skyrim, FAllout etc.)

I hope they can make something nice with it, can't wait to see the first gameplay :)

I'm surprised people liked the hodge podge fp/tp views in dues ex. I'd much prefer having control of what camera I want to use.

Yeah. More games should allow you to choose, like racing games.
Three cameras: first person, shoulder, third person.

Unfortunately most FPS developers are incredibly lazy. Most of them don't even model anything but a gun and a pair of hands. Let alone animating all the movements.

I hope it's mostly third-person perspective, but first-person so rooms don't have to be artificially larger and for interaction with terminals.

Neat! I'd love it to be a toggle, but context sensitive camera like Human Revolution or Rainbow Six Vegas would also be fine.

I want to see my character customizations on my character damn it. Probably one of my favorite aspects in TPS RPG games. I can't do that in first person...

That's how I feel too, I really want to see my stuff, specially since they said customisation was a big part of it, but in the other hand I feel like combat would be better balanced if they had control over the camera, instead of letting you switch at any time.

I'd rather get a full third person game, I'm confused.

3rd person traversal, dialogue, and hand-to-hand combat, first person shooting.
Best of both worlds.

I'd love it to be a toggle. I would probably prefer third person when I'm running around exploring and first person when I'm in combat and need to start shooting fools up.
 
The tons of customization line makes me think it's a toggle.
I think that refers to the player character editor given the context is a presentation on their character creation pipeline.

Toggling between first and third person means they need to both model the player character well and model the first person arm view (and account for the fact you will be looking at other characters a bit more closely than in third person).

CDPR implement a lot of visual customizations to your player character in their games, I'd be pretty surprised if it's a FPS game where you don't visually see your customizations.

In that sense, I'm thinking they're going for a toggle, but that worries me as well. The Elder Scrolls games control terribly in third person, and designers have to do a lot of polish to get both camera perspectives just right. I hope they can pull it off...

Yeah. When they announced Cyberpunk they said they want real Cyberpunk game not some "cyberpunk" in the name only. They promised party based game with cyberpunk gameplay. They said some changes will be needed since it is computer game but they wanted stay true to the core of cyberpunk.

Now it is TPP/FPP open world game. I don't know any TPP or FPP game that did well party based combat and i am not talking about some shitty combos. I am talking about real party based combat as in JA2.

Open world isn't wrong but creating it with FPP/TPP in mind will mean it won't be what they promised.

I thought the exact same thing. Sounds like Elder Scrolls/Fallout style to me.

Yeah, like it would make sense to do that for an FPS.
Those "developers are lazy" comments always show such a great respect and insight to the incredible amount of work it requires to create a game...

And there i had hopes for proper party based game like they said earlier. Dat Skyrim chasing money.
CD Projekt RED already state the weakness on Skyrim design. I don't actually think they will repeat the same mistake. Hell, their game might show us how bad Skyrim design actually is.

I don't remember them promising party based game play at all, but I'll take your word for it. Regardless you can't say the game is chasing Skyrim money for following the same style of game CDPR has been making since they've came onto the scene. Only difference now is a FP viewpoint.
Not only that but it seems to me as if you misinterpreted their promises as something else.
I'm willing to just wait and see what the game will actually play like before passing judgement.
So far CDPR hasn't disappointed so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
