This is the story of a man with a very strange fate. His name is David Young – formerly with the Boston PD Narcotics Unit, now a private detective. He possesses the supernatural ability to “dive” into the world of the past by touching left-behind items called “mementos.”
Two years ago, Young’s wife was killed by an unknown assailant. In her last breath, she told him to “Look for D.” From that moment on, the search for 'D' became Young's whole life – nothing more, nothing less.

Suddenly, he receives a case that might be related to 'D.' This case revolves around a courier for a drug called “Real Blood” who vanished after coming forward to testify against a drug lord known as “D.”
Apparently, he vanished from thin air while being escorted to Boston in an airplane.Finding the vanished courier could lead to the identity of 'D.' If Young obtains a memento that could take him back to that fateful day… then perhaps he’d be able to change his destiny.

And so, David Young dives into the case of the vanishing courier, as the wheels of fate begin to churn once more...

Free downloadable costumes will be made available each week after the game launches - announced every Monday and made available every Wednesday - which will tie into other well-known titles.

i had no idea about this

Nice. Mine's downloading and I'm sitting on the main screen, I'll probably start streaming it soon.

My download finished just a few moments ago, but I think it froze at the title screen, so...I'm redownloading the 8.8 gigs, lol.

Also, one of the first things I'm gonna do is start pointing at myself and see if the Kinect detects it and does something with it... it probably won't, but it'd be amazing if it did.

We're doing music from this game at a sorta-world-premiere of D4 music in Boston in 2 weeks.

I was legit amazed at how good the game's soundtrack is.

Hold on, friend! I'd love to share with you some swell news about the Windows 8 Metro UI! Wait, where are you going?
It took forever to download so I only got to play for a bit but it's pretty fun with Kinect, especially the QTE stuff. Navigation isn't the best with Kinect but the actions work well.

So what is this game? Looks a bit like The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead. Is it completely different?

It's similar, yes. It's pretty quirky though, but in a good way.

One of the very few games (along with Quantum Break) that makes me want an Xbox One.

For those that have one, you guys are so lucky.

How many episodes are there supposed to be?

I believe it was stated very recently that there's no new episodes currently in development, but in a, also very recent, interview Swery said the choice of graphical styles was so that visually the graphics would age well so that they could keep making new episodes for the indefinite future without worries of people jumping in with the first episode would be alienated by the outdated graphics.

So I guess it comes down to if it sells enough and continues to sell then we may have ourselves our first long-running episodic game series.

I'm gonna buy it. Not buying tonight cause I gotta work all day tomorrow, but I definitely plan to jump in and stream the game on Saturday.

Nice OT, good to see one made for the game.

I'm pretty much still in the set-up area of things, but it's already been a charming little oddity so far.

I could easily agree it has that "Dreamcast" quality to it; It might not be pushing every technical limit, but it's charming, unique, looks nice and sharp where it matters, and obviously has quirky passion behind it. The little messages that pop up while hovering over items give that perfect hint of pushing for a little bit more out of something that would probably be pretty mundane in other games of this type.

I've been using controller, though I have screamed out a few Conversation options. I could see Kinect use making it feel a bit more like an interactive TV presentation, which is nice.

I don't mind the lack of free-walking, it seems to have enough freedom with it's pre-set paths, and there's enough control there to do what you need.

Music has definitely been nice so far, too.

Well, time to dive back in and get through the first official episode!

One of the guys working on this game came into my stream and mentioned there would be more episodes based on the amount of people interested in them, so im assuming the more sales and demand, the more chances of some episodes

We need to spread the word if that's the case. Everyone tell anyone they know who owns an X1 to buy this.

We need more seasons. We need more craziness.

Weird. I bought D4 on smartglass while I was at work. I just got home to find out the game hadn't downloaded. It was in the queue waiting to install. I always have it on sleep mode, never turned it off since launch day. All well , I'll just have to play it tomorrow after work. :-(

How do you guys feel about the main voice actor change?

Adds a bit more charm and quirky-ness to it. I like it.

anyways.

About to set off on the first memento, and I'm really liking it. It's a really charming and fun game. I can see myself replaying episodes after a bit. And yeah the music is great.
