Where crap like what is going to happen? Blarg's FA isn't going to hinder him from playing the game in such a complete way. They are meant to be annoyances and minor handicaps, what Blarg is presenting us is a facade that forces him to post the same thing over and over again and when presented with a "coded" way of responding to us, he ignored it anyway. You're trying to ask the question of who is getting in the vote and why, I'm still talking about the actual issue of is Blarg scum or not.

If Blarg is scum then his tactic is stupid because he has built instant mistrust and made himself a target for being lynched. It is anti-town play and it makes him an easy target in the early days.

It is as reckless as Karkador's gambit in Quarantine and will probably have a similar outcome.

Yeah I'm pretty sceptical of anyone trying to push this as a scum lynch. I thought we were all aboard the policy lynch train.

Ah, the good old damned if you do damned if you don't of mafia:

Says nothing " How Suspicious!!!!"

Actually tries to defend self: "He's on the defensive, he must be cornered scum!!!"

Also, where have I jumped in for blarg? I didn't even mention him specifically, all I mentioned was that in a 17 person game, were already 4 people away from majority in a relatively quick manor. The only thing I've ever said about Blarg was to ignore him FOR NOW. We have freaking two days, we can always come back to him later.

You worried about the vote leader being close to majority so soon, that person was Blarg, you can't divide those two points. You can claim you would have said the same about anybody, all well and good but I don't believe you.

Pshh we were talking about Terra, Blarg is only technically included.

And more generally I've been surprised we haven't had any "don't be distracted by Blarg" from you. You seem quite happy to let people keep talking about his nonsense, which goes back to my earlier complaint that you aren't doing as much as usual to keep the game moving

Yes, because a Blarg that is actually posting things that can be analyzed even if surface level it's garbage is useful and should be kept around. I highly doubt there is anything lurking beneath the surface of his constant Seinfeld reference. I think this is scum Blarg, read Overwatch or Pokémon if you'd like to see the difference. It's his all in strategy of act like a turd and hope it blows over as Blarg being Blarg. I don't care if people are voting for him as policy or not, I care about the result since I think it'll be a scum flip.

I see you've never met Blarg before (or Karl before quarantine).

Fair point, but he's been called out on this enough times now that I'd be surprised if he keeps walking into it

I'm not going to place a vote on Blarg since logically this seems like it would be such a bad play as scum. Is there a specific game he's done something this obtuse in while turning out to be scum? I can skim it as time permits.

Instead I will

VOTE: Royal_Flush

I stand by my statement previously regarding his play. I still think it was odd to come in and not try and participate in a meaningful way when there were plenty of posts at that point. It's early yet but I do intend to do a reads list later in the day phase, hopefully by then there will be enough to not have half the players as null reads.

Overwatch for the glaring example but he had subbed into a shit situation. Pokemon for something where he had more control from the start. Compare it to any time he is town (or even neutral) and is enjoying himself solving the puzzle.

Flush is up there with Splinter, Terra, and Blarg for me so I sanction the rest of this.

It is true that I am coming to this with fresh eyes. I've only played with Natiko and Kark and all 3 of us were out the game early. But I made good reads.

Explain how this works out for Blarg if he is scum? Barring some sort of survival clause he is a dead man walking. My read is that he is ordinary town and trying to make himself more important in the game.

What if there's a tie?

No idea, as others said I assume that if i'm tied in votes for second i'll die.
-----
Regarding Blarg, I was waiting a bit to see why he didn't quote me especially since he quoted other posts multiple times. But I'm not willing to vote for him yet since it is awfully earlier.

Also, Terra. Why are you getting so wound up?

Blarg gets a pass on his behavior very often. He banks on people assuming he is just normal as you are and then just letting him coast through.

I know this sob story gets used a lot but it's straight up something you did as scum.
And I admitted that point, doesn't change the fact that A. I didn't name Blarg. B. I voted Blarg. And C. I AM NOT SCUM!!!

To be honest, the scum meta currently seems to be 'be as inactive as humanly possible then let Town implode from the uncertainty' so I'm not surprised Sorian is suspicious

This is different though. Scum Blarg is (going from Pokemon mainly) really fluffy, in a Blarg way. In comparison town Blarg will make more reads and
crazy
theories.

Sure, there isn't any content what-so-ever on the surface, but he's not really hiding it in fluff and this is a big deviation from how he has played in the past. Reading the first few Pokemon pages Blarg looks very... normal in comparison.

Whether he hides it in fluff or not isn't as important as the bolded. He likes to help and likes to jab at people he think might be scum, he gets lost easier when he already knows the answer.

Gets a pass often? I feel like he's always getting lynched early. I played with him in SW and PiR and he died D2 and D1. How many times has he won as scum?

Because I'm tired of having a bullcrap "scum tell" being used against me when isn't a freaking tell in the first place.

Just saying that the level that you are defending yourself so early and that vote for Blarg is far more worrying than that initial post to me (which didn't make a blip to me at all). You're are acting like you have 5 votes yourself at days end.

This game... Really?

I just can't make any points to you people can I?

I know that frustrated feel when you think your scum game is on point but people suspect you for what you conceive is stupid shit anyway, it's ok. The appeal to emotion of "no, I worked on my inactive scum game!" is even what I do (my weakness isn't inactivity obviously but same sentiment). I'll at least give you that Star's comment seems odd, I don't see you as trying to be a wallflower though you're in high gear after I kicked the hornet's nest.

As scum? Never but I think he's only been scum twice. He's had plenty of town games and the neutral game in final fantasy where he just coasted through on non sense no problem. The final fantasy game being a great example since he did have to do dumb shit every day anyway and "Blarg gonna Blarg" mentality excused the behavior away anyway.

Pokemon. He was lynched, but it was Lylo and he was vengeful (killed the last person to vote for him). He also won WWE, but as a confirmed town who got recruited...

I just voted for Blarg 'cause that crap was beyond annoying and unhelpful. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can retract my vote, though there's not anyone right now who's attracting the same high profile negative attention for me that he is. Then again, scum tend to lie low, not high... but in the other game I played with Blarg, Love Boat, he was trying to attract as much attention to himself as possible and he was scum there.

StarSketch seems pretty much the same as in Persona. Getting bad vibes from Faddy for some reason; I'll have to check back and see why.

At this point, it'd be Blarg who I'd be the least sad to see go, and it'd be a bonus if he turned out to be scum.

Part of it is that I am over compensating for my forbidden action. The other is that I think the basis for the initial suspicion is fraudulent.

Fraudulent as in I'm wrong or as in I'm scum/neutral going for a mislynch?
That, more specifically, I feel it's reaching.

Doesn't help that you read my early game joke post as a soft scum read either. Or at least that's how it looked to me.

I'm not seeking a claim, but saying something like this with no context does not do much good. All it will do is invite questions that you will either have to claim to answer or deny which will come across as stifling the discussion.

Ok, can we all agree that if anyone blames anything on their forbidden action, they have to tell us exactly what the forbidden action is?

I can already see that's going to be a thing this game.

I'm already skirting the line with this post.

i see blarg as either having a FB that he cant post today, the answering machine being the obvious clue to that,

or his role is something that makes him want to be lynched (bomb or tanner or some shit like that) and he is just being a chucklefuck about it.

either way i dont think we should lynch him today, or at least not this early.

His is vote related, he already said that it's kind of like the opposite of OA's. I personally don't care, I don't need him trying to make me feel bad about my vote like OA tried to do.

also this "terras defense of blarg" seems to be a fantasy brought on by peoples misdirected annoyance.

FTR, if I were scumhunting I'd vote Terra. First for his feigned concern over a turbo that isn't going to happen and second for his shoddy defenses since being called out.

I don't like Sorian's idea of lynching Blarg first. The scummy action here was Terra's, so he's the one we should be lynching. I know that last time Terra did this it was for a teammate, but as I said I think his concern is fake - a mistake he could make regardless of whether or not the turbo target is a teammate. If Blarg happens to be town then lynching him first would clear a lot of the suspicion on Terra with faulty logic.

However, Blarg has been Blarging too hard for my tastes so I'm still on board with the policy lynch for now.

Blarg being town doesn't clear Terra for me, I just think they could both be scum and with similar odds, I'd rather lose the one not participating if both are wrong.

It's not so much the defense as it is him acting shocked at the idea of a turbo. Everyone knows there isn't going to be a turbo.

That's how I see it at least.

No it only makes sense in a game with a day to day basis where anything can happen over night. So mafia for example. Today is Blarg, maybe tomorrow is Terra, maybe tomorrow is some other interesting info.
