My Dreamcast is just collecting dust in my closet along with about 10 games. How much do you think I could get for it?

Probably less than 20 bucks. It's why I haven't sold mine. :P

Just played Soul Calibur and Power Stone tonight with friends. Just brought back so many memories...9/9/99 and school had just started.

I remember I got the Dreamcast right after school with my friend (his father drove us to the mall to pick them up) and I stuffed it in my bookbag. I picked up FFVIII that day also. I played the DC all night and didn't touch FF until the next day.

The happiest days of my videogame life were playing Phantasy Star Online until the wee hours of the morning on the DC. It's hard to believe that I was playing that, and typing out messages on a keyboard!

One day I'll never forget. Me and my best friend had the game for like 3 weeks, but we'd never played online together yet. We were on the phone and he was telling me how weird his character looked. A couple days later we finally hook up online. Me and two other cats were in the caverns when he came on and asked for one of us to "lay a pipe".

This idiot pops out of the telepipe with a character that had to weigh like 300lbs! He was wearing a bright yellow jump suit with green jester shoes! He had a huge fro with goggles. It was the funnies PSO character any of us had ever seen and we were cracking the hell up.

Good days.

Damn, looking at those videos on the other page make me very sad panda. The Dreamcast was too young to die, too young!

Sega come back, COOOMMEEE BAAAAACKKKKK!!! *weeple weeple*

All this dreamcast talking made me want to get my dreamcast out of its box and play it one more time, I still have echo de dolphin, nfl2k, chuchu rocket, marvel versus capcom, grandia 2, virtua tennis, jet set radio, fighting vipers, school rivals (which I remember had some very good graphics) hmmm I dont remember what else I have but I sure have more

In honor of this thread I glanced over at my DC sitting on the shelf. Unplayed. And then I thought about a time when I did play it. No. That's a lie. I couldn't conjure up the energy for that last part.

I had an awesome time with my dreamcast, I remember when soul calibur was released, me and my friends couldnt stop playing for months. One day, after a long day at a friends house playing soul calibur, I went outside to get on my car, and there was a note in the door of my car that said "I know that you have been playing seoul caliber (all bad written) all this time, you lied to me, youd rather be playing videogames than being with me"......it was my girlfriend who found out where I was spending so much time all those afternoons. The worst came when I failed a school year due to not being able to focus on school finals, and rather just play soul calibur......ohhh so great memories !!!!! jejeje

Man, for such a long time, the DC had been the system with so many games you could only play on it -- Street Fighter III Third Strike, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram, Daytona USA, Soul Calibur,Power Stone, etc., etc.

It's 2006 and the dang system still has plenty of DC-only exclusives. Thank goodness Capcom has been so good about finally bringing their fighters to PS2 and Xbox :) I still play my DC once or twice a month though... like to whip out my Saturn twin sticks with the convertor for some VO:OT :)
