https://www.dualshockers.com/dead-alive-6-realistic-breast-physics/

Shimbori-san explained that this is a build still in development, but breast physics have not been removed, and movement is indeed there. In Dead or Alive 5 breast physics were very exaggerated, and for Dead or Alive 6, the development team is aiming to achieve more realistic physical effects.

As we already know, the Soft Engine isn’t being used for this game and has been replaced with a new one that is being developed at Koei Tecmo. Yet, since it’s still in development, it’s not ready for general showing. Gameplay is being showcased just to show the progress being made.

The Soft Engine is being replaced because it was old, and the new engine doesn’t yet have a name. The development team is working very hard on it.

Free The Nipple, just not in my video games.

I thourougly enjoyed DOA on the OG xbox. DOA 3 i think it was.

Ive a softmodded OG xbox so im not region locked. Are DOA Ultimate (and Beach Volley Ball for a laugh) worth grabbing?

They never said DOA6 wouldnt have breast physics, just not the exaggerated breast movements from before, so this is not a backpedal.

also to note the "soft engine" isnt the name of the full engine, it was just some tech put in DOA5 last round current gen version to add softer skin and breast physics, but the engine that the game runs on obviously already existed (unless they renamed it to that)

Currently the game is still using some of this tech while they transition to a fully new engine. the final game should look much more refined. Think of DOA4 when it was first seen compared to the final product.

DoA5 has 4 (I think) breast physics settings. How about we let people decide if they want no physics, realistic, DoA style or OMG like we have now? You know, OPTIONS!

What were the other two backpedals?

and so on.

I seriously hope there's a mistranslation problem because this Shimbori guy looks more stupid with every interview.
Also, if you want a good laugh visit the twitter profile of the creative director at Team Ninja. The whole situation will become clearer once you see that profile.

As if I'll buy a DoA game on launch again after the million supposed Final editions they released for 5, that still had content behind paywalls...

The main thing I'm wondering about is where they point out that costumes can dictate the level of jiggle. Sounds like a way to make the good jiggle locked behind paid content.

Not that I haven't spent tons of money of DOA5 dlc, just a thought.

The whole austere, serious and "realistic" tone of that DoA6 really don't make me want to play it, boobs jiggle or not... Also something still seems a bit off during impact, like you just hit some ragdoll or puppet.
I think I'll stay on SFV on GG Xrd, at least those game have something called art design.

I wouldn't mind a little more but it looks satisfactory. It didn't look right in the old build, as if they were statues.

Game is still getting negative feedback and fans are not convinced of the jiggle returning.

They should hit the panic button by releasing a new trailer featuring Honoka in all her glory to make a big impact.

They got plenty of time till release to release more characters and info, and make changes.

Its not a Battlefield V situation where they are pretty much fucked lol

Good job on removing the things that made you stand out from the crowd: slightly cartoony graphics, tits with jiggle and bikinis.
Good thing Namco didn't change their game and Soul Calibur's jiggle is cranked to 11 - they'll get my 60 bucks.
Same here. I will definitely get Soul Calibur but I'll wait for post-release version of Dead or Alive 6 (something like Last Round) if I'll ever buy it (I might stick with 5 and just watch the story on youtube).

B-but... world trends! Sexism! Feminism! Bad fanservice!

Ugh. They're smelling disaster and doing some sort of damage control.
This is like the third time they backpedal on the wokeness shown in previous interviews.
They did it in DoA5 but not to the extent of:
- Directly using social justice lingo to justify it
- The creative director at Team Ninja being so... politically outspoken about the series direction
- Social media accounts claiming the spinoff does not have a place in today's world
- Japanese accounts no longer promoting the game at all
- Adding homoerotic fanservice but sucking all of it off on the feminine side (bust size, physics, costumes...)

It's like they read the old neogaf thread and followed its recommendations to a T, which wouldn't be surprising.

The PR team have a hard on for that kind of politics, so the mistranslated comments might be a possibility but I wouldn't discount the possibility of the director being fully on board. They bet on esports and their latest stream had abysmal numbers which means the core audience left and the complaining audience "who doesn't feel welcomed" didn't replace it, and so far the plan is to scuttle this fanservice franchise because "that doesn't sell anymore in 20XX" but in the process that means the director is losing his job, and so he's doing a panicked attempt at damage control.

The reason why I still think they're beyond hope nonetheless and still politically compromised ... this damage control trailer is still all about "realism" .. the physics are hardly noticeable. The gaming press is trying to convince the old fanbase to still buy the game, in the hope (that might never materialize) that sexy DLCs will come to milk those dumb whales. So that this doesn't become a complete financial flop and a cautionary tale for publishers in the future.

They also removed the blood and zommed in punches. Still not pre-ordering/buying day one until i see more changes. Boobs barely jiggle compared to someone in real life and the curves have been nerf on the some of the characters.

The blood is optional.. in general stuff like Dirt, sweat, blood and bounce can be turned on or off.

the zoom in punches I didnt think are optional.. difference is some characters hit to the face, and some characters are body hits so you dont see the face smush...but if master said it can be turned off then it must be in response to people who rather not see it.

I really like DoA, it's a great 2 player party fighter. It had everything for a good night with friends and booze: Easy gameplay that even a noob gets after a few rounds, a visually diverse cast of fighters and bouncing tits. It was great for what it represented.
Not selling out + Geralt = instant buy from me.
Yeah about that "not selling out" i will say that they roally fucked up with putting Tora behind the dlc paywall. Fuck that!
