Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 will be releasing with subtitles in multiple languages (Chinese, English, Japanese) for the Asia region, without additional censorship. Voices will remain in Japanese. Multi-language options are available for the PS4 and PS Vita, as well as Collector's Editions.

Finally, Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3 is currently a Japanese/Asian Region exclusive, although if a Western release happens, according to Koei Tecmo, it will be an "adjusted" version. What this actually means though, is highly based on the assumption of censorship; in the meantime, these versions are the only sure bet for the original xtreme experience.

Yeah my asia account is Hong Kong on my PS4 and I redeemed the DMC4SE dlc with no issues.

Good to hear that English speakers will be able to get this in English after all. Hope all the DoA fans out there have a blast. Its a shame the game won't be brought over here, and even if it did, without editing. But now that doesn't matter! Hope you guys have fun! I'm not a DoA fan but I've been curious about the titles.

Lewdness in general, presumably. It was mentioned a while back by the creators that this would be released exclusively in Asia unless there was enough demand for it, but that even if there was the game would be edited for Western audiences. Which, editing could mean any number of things, but people assumed censorship, especially based on recent happenings. As for anything actually NEEDING censorship in this game? I dunno.

Eheh, was sure it would happen, espexially if they wanted HongKong and did like DOA5.
Now we know why they won't bother publishing it in the west for a while.

Edit:wouldn't the japanese version be subtitled in english as well? DOA5 did this, and I think I remember others as well. Will take the risk, if there's a problem I'll get an asian copy later.

Buying the digital version on the PS4 isn't different from buying something on your main account and possible from any region, on the Vita it gets a lot more difficult because of the 1 account limit

You only need to order the physical copy if you want it on a disc for ownership/collector purposes
