6. Philadelphia 76ers
7. Houston Rockets +

How much you wanna bet that 95% of the Bulls merchandise has some Jordan guy's name on it? :lol

Today's ESPN Insider talks about how players hate Kobe and how many around the NBA have no desire to play with the guy.

Here's an excerpt:

....That wasn't a slip of the tongue. Two player agents who represent players on the Lakers and one league source told Insider that Bryant was ruling the Lakers with an iron fist, getting in players' faces and acting as if he owned the Lakers. According to one agent, Bryant even threatened to trade his client if he didn't do things The Kobe Way.

"I get the feeling that everyone there is pretty miserable," one agent told Insider. "I know [my client] wants out and he claims others do too. It's hard enough to
have a a coach on you all the time, but then when a player is doing it too, it's just too much."...

Who the fuck does he think he is? Now I see why Malone didn't want to come back.

I wish I could read it all. :D

BLAZERS? THIS IS KOBE COUNTRY! YOU DO IT KOBE'S WAY OR BE BANNED!

:lol

Yeah, TMac overshadowed the Blazers gamewinning shot though. :lol

It's true cos ESPN says so!!! If you ever read Ford's columns, you know he has an anti-Kobe agenda (like everyone at BSPN besides Bucher and Walton). Call me back when they can attributes names to those quotes. In that same article he says Kobe ran off Fisher and Rush too :lol *snooze*

:)

PS: Check your pm

Fanboy-ism aside, the 'piling-on" Kobe is really getting old...

Now you see how normal people felt when the media would jock Kobe's ass as the next MJ every 5 mins a couple of years ago :P

Which is why I wont feel sorry for you Kobephiles, come on ESPN! More Kobe dirt! :D

Houston 9 11 .450 6.5

P.S. My Rocket sources tell me that T-Mac and Yao never get along and it is all T-Mac's fault for not passing Yao the ball.

please, that has happened with almost every star player that has emerged since Michael, from Grant Hill to Vince to Kobe and now Lebron. Grant on the cover of magazines being labeled as the NBA's "savior" (and this while Jordan was still IN the league, iirc). The difference is that those guys had injuries and bad press derail the "MJ Train" while Kobe went on to win championships and become one of the top players in the game. You guys are the ones saying the media was wrong in hyping Kobe 5 years ago, but now take everything they say as gospel.

3 game winning streak, with 2 of those games being won with T-Mac game-winning shots :D

You can't kill my high bionic! Stop trying!

Pfft, I never said the media is right. I just said keep getting dirt on Kobe. Just to make up for past wrong doings :D

I guess that was just as irritating as the [shootaround crew]Bron is better than Kobe[/shootaround crew] shit we're seeing now but they didn't go out of their way to villify MJ. I think it's kinda crap that they keep making up shit to smear the guy with. It's crazy how my casual sports-fan pals tell me they hate Kobe and respond with "just because" when I ask why. Ridiculous :lol

PS: Notice how BSPN ignored the Cavs getting DESTROYED by the Bulls this week but ripped the Lakers for barely losing to them :lol

There was a lot of negative press around MJ the year before he retired and most of the time he was stinking it up playing baseball. A lot of people made it seem like MJ was the antichrist for losing a lot of bets as a shitty golfer. There were like 2 or 3 books trashing Jordan around that time too. Happens to everyone Konex, it will happen to Lebron one day too.

No! Kobe is the only player in history to have the media against him! Someone protect that sweet innocent child. So sweet...

You know, all these years later, I still don't understand what the big to-do over Jordan's gambling was AT ALL. There were NEVER any allegations that he bet on Bulls games (in which case the league would have to take action), nor that he did anything illegal AT ALL-- gambling is legal in Vegas. I mean, the whole brouhaha seemed to center around the fact that he lost huge sums of money and kept chasing bets. But for him, it wasn't really that much money. Dude was making $70M/year, easily. So what was the problem?

Funny thing happened today. I decided to stay late tonight and catch the JV girls basketball game. They got shelled, but then one of my students told me Pat Riley was at the game. I was like, HOLY SHIT! I had to control my fanboy reaction. :lol At first I didn't believe it, b/c he was on the opposite bleachers for the away fans. So I yelled out his name, and everyone starts laughing, even people on the court. He didn't even look over, although there might have been a smirk. Pat Riley is my all-time favorite hoops coach, and his daughter was playing for the varsity team. She's tall I think. He's definitely tall. I saw her shooting around. She's pretty good from what I saw. Anyway, I tried to convince some of the students to go get me an autograph made out to "Duane, #1 Heat" fan. :D A few of them went and got them, but I decided to hang back and didn't stick around for the varsity game. It's wierd seeing one of your idols sitting right there, and not going over to talk. Then again, WTF am I gonna say? That's my story. Go Heat. PEACE.

i think the big shit started when it was revealed that he was in Atlantic City all night before a playoff game. Then of course, the media snowball started rolling (though with somebody like Jordan who was as teflon as they come, it didn't really effect him much). The media is a bunch of hypocritical assclowns. All of them. We live in the age of Talk Radio, where these morons spend hours and hours EVERY day talking about sports. Honestly, do you really think there are hours of newsworthy stories to talk about on a daily basis? Of course not, which is why they have to take non-stories and blow them out of proportion.

You should have told him that he deserves to make as much as someone working at McDonald's, because, hey, they all work "the same". Then you could have told him to donate half his $40M net worth to charity, become a rabid communist, and smoke a few J's for good measure-- 'coz he'd be more productive that way.

No, really-- I would've paid to see his reaction, at least. ;) :P

A lot of sports reporters are rabid assclowns that seem to hate most athletes. That is all you need to know.

Time to trade Vince and tank the season. If you can't be at the top in the Atlantic, you need to blow up the team :lol

C. Anthony
9-18, 28 Pts
8 Rebs, 9 Assists

Ever since Jordan got mad, he's been playing his ass off :lol

Averaging 27 pts, 5.5 rebounds, 5 assists and shooting over 50% over the last 4 games :lol

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Grant Hill missed a game for the first time in this season Friday night, a precautionary move because of a badly bruised right shin.

``I'll be back,'' Hill said before the Magic played the Golden State Warriors. ``I won't be out long.''

Hmm, T-Mac has the "miracle" comeback and the very next day Grant Hill's shin/ankle injury pops up again...

The T-Pups own the Kings...

They beat the Kings in one playoff series, and 2 games so far this season, they don't "own" them yet.
The T Wolves are the only team that I don't want the Kings to play in the Playoffs. KG always blows up against the Kings, he went 13/13 from the line and he's not even a good FT shooter.

Edit: I missed the T Mac performance, any way to see it without a torrent?

KG kicks ass. ^_^

And griffin = 6th man of the year.

God I love my 7th row T-wolves season tickets! :D </brag>

17-3!

Amare pulling down 36 pts, 15 rebounds, 8 assists.

Man, the addition of Nash has helped Stoudamire beyond measure. Yeah, he would've been better this year, but it wouldn't have been anything like this current jump from sorta-second string PF (i.e., a 15/8 guy), to a world-beater averaging 24/10. Crazy. He should give Nash half his salary. :D

Nash is probably the best possible player in the world you could have added to that team just based on improving the entire team. It's just a whole new level with him out there.
