Yes, people are talking about it like it was the Seizure of the Winter Palace, when what it really was what a crowd breaching a barricade and flowing into the building. They didn't barge in guns blazing, ransacking and torching the place.
Most of them were larpers but for a fact there were people there looking to apprehend or kill Trump's political adversaries. They found pipe bombs, molotovs, the guy with riot cuffs... They were not just peaceful just because they were unsuccessful.

I did follow up with a source which was a republican senator Ben Sasse that spoke to senior WH officials.

Hearsay is not a reputable source in any court system and not admissible.
Try again

Quote from link: Hillary Clinton dismissed President Trump as an “illegitimate president” and suggested that “he knows” that he stole the 2016 presidential election in a CBS News interview to be aired Sunday.

Do we lock her up for incitement?

In 1868 they said that Andrew Johnson violated the Tenure of Office and impeached him.

Do we lock em up for incitement?

How many did they find, and where? Was a single shot even fired by a single protester?
The protesters did not execute any politicians because they did not find any. This does not mean that this couldn't have turned incredibly deadly if they did. And it's not like they weren't looking for them.

He absolutely did not "say they were in the right" but yea he did continue his dumb beliefs about election fraud. He still told them to go home and later respect law enforcement. Nothing will ever be enough for the left and that scares me more than anything.

Didn't you get the memo? It was code word for storm the capitol building. I'm trying to find the tweet where someone construed a tweet from another person with literally saying the N-word. These people live in a fantasy world of Nationalistic Socialist Neo Klansmen Supremacist Party is hiding under a bridge waiting for a BIPOC to cross.

Luckily for Hillary, she doesn't have followers anymore and no one cares what she thinks. You can't be accused of inciting a riot if no one riots.

But also, critically, Hillary didn't suggest it was something that could be changed, didn't tell people it was up to them to go stop it from happening. She just bitched and threw herself a pity party.

Basically it's like a false rape accusation without filing a police report. All of the benefits none of the legal liabilities.

Did she hold a rally in DC after months of completely unhinged lies and failed lawsuits where she told a mob of her armed followers to march on the capitol to "show strength" and stop the certification of the electoral votes which resulted in a cop being beaten to death and several more hospitalized? Oh, wait, she conceded the day after the election.

"Inciting violence" is pearl clutching and I'm disappointed to see so many Gaffers enabling such a preposterous media narrative.

How many of the protesters inside the Capitol were armed? How many were found to be actively looking for people to either execute or take as hostages? How many defended their position with armed resistance once the authorities tried to expell them?

Hillary wasn't saying this shit to affect an outcome, she's saying it because she's an egoist who lacks the self awareness to process the mistakes she made that cost her the election.

Trump knows legally he can't call for violence, but he also knew exactly what he was doing when he pulled his stunt. From the calls to various senators from Giuliani it was clear he had a strategy to try to postpone the certification, for what larger strategy we don't know. He was reportedly delighted when the protestors breached the Capitol and held back --even denied -- the national guard for hours.

It was a premedicated crime. He knew that if he got people angry enough, led them there, and opened the opportunity, they would do what he wanted.

The Chicago 7 were charged with incitement to riot. They never told anyone "go riot". That isn't the argument. Shouting "fire" in a crowded theater isn't an instruction for everyone to trample each other and panic but that's still the expected outcome when you say that.

There's no way Trump didn't know this was going to get out of control, he promised it would be "wild" on the day he announced the event.

Sorry if old, but an article that goes over what Trump said just at the rally hours before the violence (NY Times is the source but linking a different paper since NYT has a paywall)

This of course would not take into consideration the months he spent beforehand summoning his base to DC and riling them up.

I'm not saying that people should go to jail for murders they didn't commit, but it was a dangerous situation with a lot of really mentally unwell people there.

Which is what a rape allegation without filing a police report is meant to accomplish. To ruin the public reputation of the target without the criminal liability for the accuser and the accused.

Man you're big on speculation, mind-reading and conspirational thinking. You should join thedonald.win.

You're free to choose between the actual speech Trump gave and your "read-between-the-lines, subliminal, dog-whistle" version.

In law, things like making a bomb or bringing riot cuffs represent "overt acts in furtherance of a crime," even if the crime is never successfully done. This was a situation with a lot of very mentally unstable people, in a mob situation where even normal people can get swept up. It was really fucking dangerous.

There were hundreds of rallys this year, all of them peaceful. People really need to stop thinking they know whats going on inside other peoples heads. What would be the motivation for inciting a riot? Do you actually believe he wanted the mob to go in there and slaughter his political opponents? Trump more than anyone knows how the media works and how they would interpret an event like this. There is no upside for him from a violent event involving his followers. The believe was that on the 6th the American people would be able to hear their arguments on the election, 2 hours per state, and the people outside the capitol were a show of support for Trump and the congressmembers showing the evidence. That was all taken away by the events that occured. This censorship about the election fraud is disgusting. Even if its not true, people need to be able to look at the facts and arguments and make their own decisions. The democrats and big tech dont want people to see anything, only what they are told.

And if Joe Biden or someone literally walked an angry mob of Antifa up to the white house and told them to "show Donald Trump what you're made of," he would be in prison, full stop.

The inflammatory rhetoric on both sides is fucking horrible, but this wasn't a spontaneous riot put together by random Qtards, it was an organized riot conceived and promoted by the sitting president as an attack on his opponents, specifically in the hopes of disrupting the democratic process.

What a waste of time and money. Seriously, do lefties even want this? Like.... What’s the point here?
Strong, clear, bipartisan repudiation so the country can move on. And to stop him from holding the country hostage with the possibility of a 2024 run, mostly.

Trump does not learn, Trump does not change, Trump is a psychopath. Democrats are moving too slow if anything.
Trump is like a mafioso. "I didn't order no hit, I just said to pay him a visit."

More anecdotal BS , at this point you are just trolling everyone with your BS made up hot takes.
He never ”instructed” people do to do what happened he said they should protest peacefully and there are many sources to verify that.
Are you being serious with this garbage ?

See my post above. If a mob boss says to someone "I want you to pay this guy a visit," or "I want you to take care of our little problem downtown," he hasn't technically said "Go murder Sticky Mickey," but he has still communicated his desire in a way that it unmissable and understood.

life is not a Hollywood movie.

The government is way more cruel than that. They just make something a law and take your rights away.

So we are just going to ignore the fact Nancy is MIA for two days? She obviously knows the impeachment is a sham otherwise she would be there.

Here is the rub. The law is VERY strict on words that incite violence. (Which is a great thing). However, an Impeachment and subsequent trial in the senate does not apply the same legal standard that would be used in court. Accordingly, Congress is free to make that causal connection and determine whether Trump is guilty of a "high crime or misdemeanor." In other words, if they think its bad enough what he did, then thats that.

If the portland mob had breached the building, it would be a smoldering ruin right now. It's pretty telling that once people got in there they mostly took seflies and larped around. Insurrection...lmao. Yah were here to overthrow the government but lemme stop for a cool selfie
There were a few crazy right wingers, and some antifas. They put a noose hanging from outside the capitol. Also some were chanting hang mike pence.

But the majority even most of those that entered seemed peaceful, didn't even go crazy after the protesting woman was shot and killed.

No the house and senate are free to impeach even without evidence, like the last impeachment trial. A mockery of a trial.

Hey Russia gate was a huge waste of time and political capitol but I'll ask you, are YOU fucking loopy? 5 bodies piled up and 2 bombs found not enough to warrant maybe doing more than slapping this coddled baby on the wrists no?

Spare me your self righteous bullshit. I'm not buying the shit you're selling. Democrats didn't care when their people did it don't ask me to give a fuck here. That's the precedent THEY set.
