As an offshoot to that condomless oral sex thread, I wanted to ask about dental dams. Sex ed in high school went over them briefly, but never really went into details like they did with condoms. I've never seen one in real life, never used one, and to be honest the thought of using one when eating someone out is kind of hilarious.

I can't imagine it's enjoyable for either person, but that's what this thread is about. Has anyone here used them? What's it like? Is it as hilarious as it is in my head?

I think high school sex Ed classes are required to mention them as a thing, but mine didn't go into real detail. No one asked and I'm pretty sure everyone in the class was just in silent agreement that the concept is insane, let alone the actual execution

I don't think they're much more of a turnoff than condoms but I do think that they're just so much less ubiquitous which makes a difference. I know that they're expensive as hell, so I grab em every time I am in the student health center. Don't currently have a use for them but you can never be too safe.
