Dev: Next Xbox Console May Not Have VR, Microsoft shows no interest in it.

Is it a good or bad thing that Microsoft is not participating in VR?

If I were Microsoft I'd let oculus have a software thing on the xbox infinity where you open the software and it's the oculus home and the rift/quest works as it does on pc.

Have it as a non original add on like guitar hero etc.

Microsoft gets a cut of the game price as usual and the xbox gets to have vr.

Surely that's a win for both companies?

I think the main focus should be traditional games but if PSVR is wireless next gen I'll give it a try

I'm fine with Microsoft skipping it but if Sony is able to sell a high end next gen headset at a good price and incorporate "full" VR modes into most of their games it could put a sizeable dent in Microsofts sales of multiplatform games.

This is an old thread.

Also whatever happened to this guy, I figured he'd pop up again when it was announced Sony stock dropped when they cut PS NOW prices but he oddly he never appeared.

Also something about Stadia making next gen consoles DOA or something.
