DF: Inside DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction + Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

Turk1993

GAFs #1 source for car graphic comparisons

Finally, lets see how it performs and enhances the visuals even more.

edit. Around 27min he talks about how DLSS3.5 will have much much better reflections and denoising in CP2077. He says that its a night and day difference on the faces and that there are more detail than ever thanks to DLSS3.5.

Its not but to run this at decent framerates with path-tracing, on weaker cards, you'll need frame-gen which is still atm a 4xxx feature.

Eh, still enjoyed playable framerates on 3080 Ti with a few tweaks. Totally worth it for path tracing.

Nah man its too long lol, also PC only and its more of a tech feature, not a comparison or the like.
Your services may finally be coming to an end.

Glarity (AI) Summary:
  • 💡 DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction aims to improve image quality in the RT overdrive mode of Cyberpunk 2077.
  • 💡 Research and development for Ray Reconstruction started in mid-2020.
  • 💡 DLSS 3.5 combines denoising and super resolution to enhance Ray traced effects.
  • 💡 AI has the potential to improve denoising and push the trade-off space between responsiveness and stability.
  • 💡 The development process involved expanding the training dataset and iterating on the algorithm.
  • 💡 DLSS 3.5 integration in Cyberpunk 2077 required balancing and tweaking denoisers.
  • 💡 Cyberpunk 2077's occluded and reflective environment posed challenges for the denoiser.
  • 💡 New inputs for DLSS 3.5 include normal maps, diffuse and specular Albedo, roughness maps, and specular hit distance.
  • 💡 Ray Reconstruction works well for path traced games and offers clear benefits.
  • 💡 The base cost of the model used for Ray Reconstruction remains the same.

Everything sounds so good with the evolution of DLSS.

I'm 3/4 of the way through and I like where we are going with this.

The PCMR reddit mod killed me right off the bat

Soon as he opened his mouth to ask a question i lost interest.

Watching the video now and I really wish this reddit mod would shut up so we can focus on the interesting bits lol

Everybody else contributes to the discussion by asking great questions and sprinkling technical context and this guy can't get over trivial bullshit like the naming schemes of DLSS2 vs DLSS3
