Thanks for that - added to OP.
If you have an entire year where you released more ports than new releases, than it's a problem.
Nintendo doesn't have to be like Capcom.
DF title isn't very clickbait since Reggie himself said more Wii U ports are coming.
Also, this is what was originally announced as Fire Emblem x SMT
Why not just buy a Wii U if you so desperately want to play these games?...
Yep, what can I say.
The title is still clickbait - DF Should have used a question mark.
I'm not saying more Wii U games are not going to make their way over to the Switch, I just don't believe everything that comes out of Reggie's mouth.
To be fair he doesn't confirm 100% that more Wii U ports will be coming, just that they're currently discussing them and that they're likely. I do like his policy about wanting new content to avoid pure ports though.
If we're talking dream ports, I'm gonna say Hyrule Warriors with some new BotW content would be incredible. I only played the Wii U version of Hyrule Warriors so there was a lot on 3DS that I never got to play, and adding in some new BotW characters or content would be a really easy way to ensure it's not just a port.

People born after the Wii U who want to play Mario Maker in 10 years? Fuck you, should've been born sooner!
I'm not sure what you're trying to say, are you referring to this year or a hypothetical year? Because Nintendo has published only 3 ports/remaster out of 12 games this year.
I'm not saying that's whats happening. So far Nintendo is spacing them out which is great. They're putting more focus towards their new releases.Well that's not the case, far from so I guess you can be happy? The only Wii U ports announced are Pokken DX and MK8 DX.
It's a problem when someone has played most of the ports and doesn't have any interest to replay them. How is having more good games available a problem?
That doesn't make it a good thing. I'm pretty sure we've been complaining about this since the PS4 and Xbox One released. It's sad that the majority of Capcom's input this generation has been ports. The rest of the games industry has been stuck in "port/remaster everything" mode since 2014, and things are still goin' fine.

Well, because you don't believe him doesn't erase the existence of what he said.
As long as Splatoon 1 stays exclusive its all good. Holy shit if that game gets ported I'll rant so hard on the net 😡😡
Dead Console, worse IQ and resolution, Gamepad and no portability.
He says that it's a good opportunity and are actively discussing it, so yeah it's not a 1000% confirmation but that's just because he knowshow to handle his PR. ¯\_(ツ_/¯

As long as they're released in tandem with new titles, there's really no downside in bringing them over. So many Wii U games that deserved better sales.

Port em all over! There's nothing wrong with it at all. I'd love to have Xenoblade Chronicles X hit my Switch.
You forgot wind waker.

Seems strange that the Wii U had great games but it bombed.
The issue with a hypothetical TMS#FE port is that I don't see what they could add to justify its port, since Reggie insists on bringing more value to a Wii U port. It's easy for online games like Mario Kart, or Pokkén, but a pure single-player game ? I doubt they'll ask Atlus to work on an expansion or something.
I feel like we'll mostly have ports of online games rather than just the best hits, unless they're done by third-parties.

No idea why people want a Super Mario Maker port.
It's a prime candidate for an improved sequel much like Splatoon 2.
Also I think the most like ports will be the top sellers of the Wii U. Nintendo is a business after all, they'll want to release stuff they know will sell.
Sorry #FE fans, but all you who owned a Wii U but didn't buy it in some ways lessened its chances of being ported.
Also vid is weird. Title makes it sound like something is confirmed and yet it's all speculation and dreams.
Missing the point entirely.

This is a good thing, but some of the games will still bomb if they aren't priced super cheap. I can't imagine TW101 will sell well at all on Switch unless it is priced at $30 or so.
