You do yes. I didnt have any problem though, in fact the option came up itself for me when i opened both Gamepass and EA PLus app.
You do have the EA PLus App right?, you dont do it through Origin.

i got the 1$ GP Deal with 3 month subscription (it was over at the end of March), every time i try launching the Medium & AOE HD my Windows Explorer Freezes, cant even launch Ctrl-Alt-Tab so i had to hard rese every time (i got semi High End PC RTX 2060)
