Weird to see that they regretted gushing over it. I think it's cool tech. If I don't like what it does in a certain game, I'll turn it off.Pussies. Have a fucking spine. If you are excited about something then good, but to say you should wait for the reaction just shows they are scared and only want to send out things that fall in line with everyone else. The fuck is the point
Yeah that was my first reaction to that response. Oh so you wanted to have an opinion not until you've seen the backlash first. Lmfao.Pussies. Have a fucking spine. If you are excited about something then good, but to say you should wait for the reaction just shows they are scared and only want to send out things that fall in line with everyone else. I wonder what it's like being DF and not being allowed to have any opinions that might disagree with what their paying viewers pay for
Must suck being beholden to the Resetera crowd, always walking on eggshells, milliseconds away from being canceled 24 hours a day
They were shitting on DLSS FG before AMD and Intel came out with their versions. Why is no one shitting on FSR frame resolutions and generation?
Graphical settings actually violate the artist's original intent, chud. The stupidest thing is that Grace's model ALREADY looked like a different person with PT from the one with baked lighting!! Nobody was mad about that! As soon as the lighting is achieved via AI though, all hell breaks loose.
That was such a dumb point. Outsourcing is already extremely common for game developers. Expedition 33 famously hired people in Korea to do animations, and Insomniac is known to offload a lot of their asset creation work to outside studios.Alex was theorizing that a company could send assets or something of a character to be done by a Korean company, it's people looking to find something to complain about.
I mean, it might be the frame generation throw into the mix but the DLSS5 results here already show issues with fast moving objects.

Exactly. A sad state of affairs."We should have waited to see what the audience wanted us to think about this."
I don't see it as flipflopping. They clearly just wanted to clarify that the first video was first impressions and they were happy with what they saw. When it came to the backlash they just said that of course there are multiple viewpoints and not everyone on DF will agree. It looks highly unprofessional for a tech channel to flip-flop on their opinion just because of community backlash.
ding ding ding!!People are going to warm up to this when AMD and Sony announce something similar, a good chunk of the hate is sour grapes right now and FOMO because it seems just like a high end Nvidia thing.
Those are photos taken of a display, not direct feed. And what it shows looks nothing like what can be seen in the DLSS 5 video, and more like display ghosting.
They're technicians in touch with their feelingsIt looks highly unprofessional for a tech channel to flip-flop on their opinion just because of community backlash.
His wife's boyfriend is very worried about himI'm gonna pray for that guy... He seems to be quite unstable.
Would it be so hard for Rich to get his teeth professionally cleaned? I mean, I don't need him to look like an instagram model but paying a little bit of attention to his appearance when working in a visual medium isn't a huge ask.
True. We should definitely be cautious to not strawman this. Stuff like ghosting or random glitches is NOT the problem. That will easily get fixed with iteration anyway. The actual technique itself is the problem.I'm not the fan of the tech but there is so much bullshit and misinformation floating around...
My sleep paralysis demon be likeBu.. but i like the developer original artistic vision more than DLSS 5

But DLSS5 implementation is tweaked and provided by the developer. You have to realize that when developers make games they make them to work across multiple platforms, the artists intent is never fully realized due to hardware and time constraints. So now if studios can leverage the extra fidelity and visuals they were originally trying to achieve utilizing AI, then they've accomplished their vision.Graphical settings actually violate the artist's original intent, chud.

Are those artifacts really present in the game? If that's the case what a shitty result. To me it looks like frame generation artifacts, even if in that shot DLSS 5 is disabled.
Which is expected when they are trying to make things look more photorealistic, making issues stand out more, and Nvidia choose to use that footage for the demo.People are identifying common bugs and graphical glitches in games and attributing them all to DLSS5.
Yeah it's been happening for a while. UE5 titles with Software Lumen especially, people blaming light bleeding etc on DLSS/Nvidia. Really it's more due to AMD sucking at RT is the reason SW Lumen is compromised.People are identifying common bugs and graphical glitches in games and attributing them all to DLSS5.
WTF is he gonna do, cry like a bitch on Bluesky and then play Bubsy?Could this be the start of John's villain origin story?

You can't tell me this wouldn't vastly improve many games, especially ones that are open world and limited based on their size.
Chud.
Blows my mind how great AI is at creating hair with some good physics, while failing with hands and consistency (probably depending on the used AI model and its age/generation). Any 2D artist probably needs many many months or years of trying before getting okay or even great hair in a proper realistic pic, let alone in an handanimated short movie, similar with people trying dynamic non lego brick hair in any modeler. Just won't work without a ton of work or experience without looking goofy or plain wrong.Nothing that DLSS5 can't fix!

Gamers Nexus is a giant loser, you can't listen to anything that comes out of his trap since he's gone on his Nvidia crusadeMocking the Oblivion "reptilian eyes" and Fifa player shirt artifacts even though both are found in the DLSS5 Off footage as well.. this isn't really the way.
Because it's not a real tech channel. Straight and simple. I give a stupid example: the last a video about RE9 they claimed such artifacts was caused to the denoiser and not the PSSR2. Lol. They blamed all the time PSSR1 to be the main cause of such issues and now they discovered suddenly denoiser are not exactly part of an upscaler job.It looks highly unprofessional for a tech channel to flip-flop on their opinion just because of community backlash.
