I never really cared for Ps1/Ps2 emulation because PC can already do that.
If you don't care about BC emulation within a console, by the time PS5 comes your gaming PC (assuming you do PC gaming, as you mention not caring about PS1/PS2 emulation as a PC can do that) will be able to handle then-version of RPCS3, that by then probably will be able to handle much of the PS3 library.

Most of my ps3 library is digital, that is a big issue regarding pc emulation. Ps1 and Ps2 obviously don't have that problem.
