I'm having trouble getting the software I'm using to grab said vids, works on many sites where you usually can't just save vids with like VideoDownloader on Firefox, but what I'm using (StreamTransport) won;t load the page proper to even open the vid.

How can you tell there was lighting improvements?

Look at where DK jumps out of the plane in both vids, there's a shine added and it looks nice. I'll screencap it.

That is a notable difference. The left one looks bland(especially DK), in comparison. The right one has more life to it.

God, the bloom looks awful. The original DKCR in Dolphin looks better than this. Nintendo needs to stop forcing this in all of their HD ports.

Man, I really can't wait to play this. The soundtrack is going to be fantastic, and I'm loving the character options. It's pretty much guaranteed to be better than the original, which was still a very good game. Feb is going to be a great month for games.

What exactly is lacking? Some of the trees are a bit low poly but other than that and it being side scrolling, the game looks amazing graphically........dat music too, got damn.

I am not a graphics expert so what effects have been improved exactly in these comparisons? It looks like something more than just lighting and more fur, better shading perhaps?

I'm no graphics expert either but it just has better lighting. It looks much more vibrant. Really obvious around DK's left hand.

I like David Wise's DKC1 and 2 work just as much as everyone else, but I'm not hearing what you guys are hearing in those clips. It's ok for the little bit that's there, but nothing special.

I think most are hearing potential in spades.
