Do you kill insects?

I don't go out of my way to, no.

With that said, there was a huge spider hanging in front of the bathroom door this morning. I raided that bitch.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Some days I try to let them live, but other days, they must die. Especially if they're flies and they keep going after my food.

Only when I have no other choice, or if it's a giant spider or roach.

An example of no other choice; wasp nest outside the front door.

Varies.

Spiders, I never go out of my way to kill but if it's something like a black widow or brown recluse inside, I'm not going to chance it and it's probably dead.

Mosquitoes, always. Ants, most times if they're around the house. Flies, if they're inside. Bees, no. Wasps/hornets, only if I know I'm taking them out. Centipedes, nope. Caterpillars, nope. Mantises, nope.

Only when I absolutely have to. Especially the ones that attempt to pester the hell out of me despite being shooed away. Also no sympathy for mosquitoes.

Yes, but only when inside an house obviously. Unless it's a bee or wasp, i'd rather avoid dealing with an angry one in case i miss it the first time. Can't kill a butterfly too. They're too pretty and non-invasive compared to ants, flies, spiders or other filthy bugs.

Yes if they're inside. But I don't crush them..I kinda just lightly squeeze them with a paper towel. I hate the sound of their exoskeleton crushing.

recently I've been killing insects and feeding them to the ants in my back patio, so when I smoke I can watch them carry and or dismantle it and carry the pieces back to the ant hill

Everything that tries to sting me dies when it's in my room. Normal flies die if they start to annoy me. Sometimes I even try to lead them out of my room.

I hate flies.

Everything inside the house, yes. Since moving to a humid climate so much shit gets inside. Earwigs, spiders, silverfish, flies, big ass house centipedes.

Every once in a while we get black widows i the house. My wife won't even kill them. She catches them and throws them outside far from the house.

Will try to kill indiscriminately:

Wasps.
Flies.
Mosquitoes.

Will kill only if it becomes a nuisance or is on my body:
Spiders.
Other stuff.

I kill any insect in my house that I cannot capture and let outside; gnats, some flies, and maybe those really fast spiders. I'll kill cockroaches too of course, though I haven't ever had any except one time in a shitty old house I rented in college. Otherwise, I capture and release, as I hate the idea of killing something that is innocent. Even a bug.

Exceptions: Wasps and mosquitoes. I kill them with prejudice, even if they're outside. I actively seek out wasp nests around my house to exterminate them. Bees, on the other hand, I will leave totally alone as I like the little guys.

Depends...

With spiders I sometimes let them know they have until I get back to hide, otherwise I have to terminate.

Never kill ladybugs.

Always kill centipedes, they creep me out.

Never kill millipedes, they are cool.

Ants are KoS

I usually avoid it. I have this weird quirk where I think any gnat or bug in my way could possibly be someone transformed into a bug by a wizard's spell and they are trying to get my attention.

I kill all insects, usually spiders. If I let it out, it'll just lay a million eggs and more will find a way in.

* only in my apartment. Outdoors only if it bites or could sting.

Generally no, just ones that are unwelcome in my territory. Spiders indoors, and wasp nests in my yard, for example. House centipedes meet untimely deaths. For a lot of bugs, we catch them and let them go outside.

For bugs in our yards, I teach my kids to respect them and about the role they play in the ecosystem. My younger daughter loves animals and insects, and tends to catch them and keep them for temporary 1-2 day pets, then releases them in the yard. Moths, butterflies, house flies ("Fly Guy!"), grasshoppers, rolly pollies, slugs, you name it. She loves them all.

Always, yes, and with extreme prejudice.

You come into my house, you are an intruder, regardless of whether your consciousness, or lack thereof, allows you to recognize the concept of land ownership and trespassing.

Insects are a lower form of life and as such are subject to my will. I will crush them beneath my heel or swat them aside with no remorse. IF THEY WILL NOT BOW TO ME THEY WILL BE DESTROYED.

same as the OP, I try to take them out alive but sometimes there is no choice

edit: oh but kill every mosquito that dares to enter to my home, fuck the blood suckers

Everything but spiders in the house, and nothing outside. Those damn earwigs they must die..

Not an 'insect' but semi-related.

I remember I was really high a month ago. I was at my friends BBQ and was strolling in his yard. Suddenly I heard a 'CRUNCH' and i froze. I lifted my left foot and noticed that I had just crushed a snail. It was twitching....last breath.

I felt absolutely horrible after that. I started contemplating life & death, if I will receive bad karma from killing the snail and all kinds of guilty thoughts.

I have atively gone out of my way to avoid killing tiny things since then.

Lesson : Don't kill insects, spiders, snails while you are high, You will be traumatized.

Vicariously, as I have a venus fly trap. Not much is killed by my hand though, especially not spiders, just the odd fly if it's too dumb to get the message and leave.

Last weekend I killed a wasp in my house that was scaring the crap out of my friend and instantly regretted it. Will usually get a cup and get it out the house that way.
