They were split because they had to stop Prophet top and had to worry about NS. They were screwed. Its amazing they did as well as they did.
Not even that, I'm talking about taking fights over a sprawling space, with individual heroes being locally outnumbered and being picked off one by one. That isn't group cohesion, that's chaos, and it is indeed amazing that they recovered enough to at least have a chance. All the same, they're not playing to their peak and it seems evident.

Or maybe M5 is just playing at their peak =P

Also outpicking and killing them on laning

Certainly a significant factor, but as I said, I think it's apparent Na'Vi has fallen a fair distance from theirs in this series so far. Gaining an advantage over Na'Vi is typically as Pyrrhic as humanly possible, but this has been anything but. They're giving up deaths and fights without that characteristic finesse and reprisal. They've lost much, much cleaner than this.

And whammo, seems like they may be finally hitting their stride.

Guys seriously, WATCH THE RUSSIAN CAST. IT'S WAY BETTER. If anyone else saw that black hole in the RUSSIAN cast with the whole crowd screaming, they'll tell you. Unless you're new-ish and need some Purge commentary.

And I'd say NS has fallen out of favor lately strictly because of trends. Seriously. He's not like AM where AM has a million counters in now. NS loses a lot of potency later sure, but it's generally worth it for the massive early and midgame advantage.

Wow I feel for M5 there. Just one team fight gone bad and they got fucked over for the rest of that game. Goddamn that NaVi team lineup is so frustrating to fight against by the looks of things.

What i hate about the russian cast is that i can't see the colors on the minimap, i like to just watch top and say "cool, am is farming",

If you dont have BKBs, Dark Seer will fuck you over every time.

Sorry final but are you always spouting some one-liner bullshit in this thread? Am isn't autowin, darkseer+other aoes isn't autowin. Nothing is autowin in this game at any level of play and if you understood anything about the game you would know it.

wouldn't say that...as those statements kinda contradict each other.

In what way?

The lowest level of play is the lowest level of play because people have 0 knowledge of the game or 0 reason to exercise their understanding of the game. Just like in DOTA 1, if you're in a really really low level noob game, there are quite a few autowin pubstomp heroes (i.e. heroes that are insanely strong but with obvious counters that don't get countered in lowbie games--i.e. ursa, doesn't this guy have the highest win rate but is like the most counterable hero lol?).

That fact that at the lowest lovel of play they don't understand the game doesn't mean that there is autowin stuff.

So when all heroes will be released, will lycan still be the first go-to ban? I think we've seen him only once in competitive play so far.

Lycan is very strong because he jungles so fast. Because of this you cant shut him down in the laning phase by ganking his lane. Hes just really hard to stop from becoming a pushing powerhouse.

Yes. The only major pro scene hero not in yet is Chaos Knight, discounting the unproven heroes added in 6.73 and .74.

he's always banned, I think 'cause he's a fucking strong -broken- carry.
but will lycan still be the first go-to ban? yeah, I guess so.

I disagree. Like I said above, there are heroes that are very powerful but have very apparant counters that require some knowledge of the game. In a game where people don't know much about Dota, you get people calling Doom, spiritbreaker, and ursa overpowered. I agree with you that there is no autowin "hero" at high level dota (although some people have said chaos knight is basically autowin? dont know much about this hero at this point and he isn't even out yet), but when you extrapolate that statement to every level of play, I think it falls flat.

Has anything been confirmed about Dota 2 having a tutorial when the full game is done? I have the beta but I haven't played for a while since I suck and I don't really have anyone to help me learn the game. I've tried, but an in-game tutorial would be amazing and would definitely benefit me more.
