lol that's rich, thinking we are heading for a third world war.
Hyperbole never ends. Now that North Korea has become yesterday's news (for the time being anyway), something else always has to become the next WW3 BS.

France's President Emmanuel Macron says he has "proof" that the Syrian government attacked the town of Douma with chemical weapons last weekend.

He said he would decide "in due course" whether to strike Syria.

Western states are thought to be preparing for missile strikes in response to the alleged attack.

In Russia, Syria's main military ally, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov urged against "any steps which could lead to an escalation of tensions".

The video distributed by the white helmets (who work with al nusura front) with their claims of the attack has been proven to be fake and from 5 years ago:

https://www.rt.com/news/423927-syria-staged-chemical-attack-drill/

To preempt belligerents: “Why should I listen to Russian state media?”

Because they brought the receipts with the 5 year old uploads. Meanwhile the only hospital there and Red Crescent (or just any non-terrorist-affiliated group) have not confirmed any attack or victims.

I would be just as willing to believe Western governments if they would provide evidence. This is a conflict with civilians stuck in the middle. Here are some articles showing civilians not liking the rebels any more than Assad:

http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2012/08/1...in-middle-people-of-aleppo-frantic-for-peace/

https://www-m.cnn.com/2018/04/10/middleeast/damascus-trump-threats-intl/index.html

You’ll notice the reporters actually on the ground there don’t merely refer to them as rebels, but jihadis.

I hope they have evidence for that claim, especially after they have been advocating everyone stay cool and not provoke each other and had just let the OPCW in to check things out.

Mattis believes there was a chemical attack, but says that we still need evidence (probably a Russian shill):
https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/u-...vidence-of-syria-chemical-attack-mattis-says/

Macron says he has “proof” the chemical attack happened and it was by Assad, but still hasn’t shared this proof.

Syria is warning of vengeance against Israel for the attack on their air base that no one is really acknowledging.

What an annoying situation with everyone talking shit and backing up almost nothing.

I wish I could ever keep Syria and Russia's stories straight. One second it is they likely hit a chemical weapon storage area. Then it is that Rebels did it. Then it is there was no chemical attack at all and no traces of any were detected. Then it is Britain now?

I give up.

To understand Russia's claims, you need to read where they make claims.

Russia did predict a chlorine false flag attack back in March:
https://www.rt.com/news/421589-us-preparing-syria-provocations-airstrikes/
https://www.rt.com/news/421753-syria-ghouta-chemical-provocation/

However, since the claim of an attack on the 7th they have always claimed that there were no chemicals used at all, but rather, it was all fabrications. Their earliest supports for this claim before they even sent a specialist team to investigate it were the teams they had already present sorting out an evacuation plan with the rebels at the time:
https://www.rt.com/news/423520-jaysh-islam-withdrawal-talks-douma/
While they had their own investigative teams deploy the fastest, they got a quick response from the OPCW to send a team out, getting a confirmation on Monday (although they did not actually fly out to them until the ceasefire evacuation was completed due to barricades and mines the rebels had laid):
https://www.rt.com/news/423732-opwc-sends-syria-chemical-probe/
What they accused the rebels of was using propaganda tactics taught to them. With the earlier predictions, they said Americans had taught them, but after further investigation they are saying the UK not only trained them but specifically instructed them on how and when to fake this attack:
https://www.rt.com/news/424047-russian-mod-syria-statement/

Earlier they debunked the footage from an indoor school scene as having been taken 5 years ago (already posted that link), and now they are saying the night footage of people being sprayed with water was the result of non-doctor provocateurs manipulating people at a hospital into a panic after a bombing had taken place (the footage does very clearly show a post-bombing scene, but not gas, yet this does not rule out gas having been present).

Red Crescent (like the Red Cross over there) said they encountered no chemical victims. The WHO was saying 500 people were harmed by it (restating White Helmets claims) but have provided no evidence after Russia asked them to name any of the organizational partners or hospitals (there was only one active in Douma that reported none harmed by chemicals) they were speaking to in order to get that number:
https://www.rt.com/news/423539-red-crescent-ghouta-no-chemical/

Assad's thing seemed more like either he was genuinely clueless or was playing aloof and also didn't consult Russia before answering, which is odd. Like "Oh, people are saying there was chemical gas? Well I didn't use any, but they had used some on us before, so if there were chemicals then the militants probably had a storage that got hit in the bombing."

Any missles yet? Didn’t trump say some smart missles are coming soon?
He went back on that after Mattis told him to calm down, but official word is that strikes may still be coming.

They would need really, really good evidence at this point, because they are actually doing a pretty good job recovering these areas compared to our bullshit overkill job in Raqqa with zero follow-up care for the civilians.

The Americans don’t need evidence. They just do what they want.

Apparently so. More war crimes stacked up for our regime. What the fuck is a UN?
The U.N. is a pawn the U.S.A. uses to pretend like everyone is equally calling the shots. Whenever they want to do something, the French/German/English even Australian government will come out within days, calling for the same thing. They are lapdogs, it is pathetic.

It’s to pretend the World is free instead of run by an oppressive regime forcing their will on all peoples and illegally invading and occupying soverign nations. All wrapped up and disguised in a cute little bow we call “democracy” and “freedom”. It’s been happening since WWII.

The funniest part is that the sheep lap up everything that they are fed and don’t ask questions like:

“Ok, so you SAY you have proof, but WHERE is it?”

Just astonishingly unintelligent.

I'm sorry but we have to cut you off here....

Strategically he's on point. Assads pretty much won. There's no logical reason why he'd choose to deploy chemical weapons and invoke the wrath of the international community and the US in particular, even with the backing of the Russians.

“Hey buddy, you are not conforming to our narrative. Got to cut you off sorry! We don’t want logic and reason here. Our sheep...sorry...I mean, our viewers might start thinking for themselves...Now, back to our scheduled program. Baaaa! Baaaa!”

Lol. So obvious it’s more sad than funny.

The lie that this video proves the attack was staged was so bad that even RT has to correct it.

https://www.rt.com/news/423927-syria-staged-chemical-attack-drill/

RT Digital investigated the origins of the video and found that it doesn’t depict children being coerced and prepared for future propaganda videos, as falsely suggested by users on Twitter.

The video is more than four years old and the actions carried out by the children in the video are part of a play by a group called the Nesma Organization based in eastern Ghouta.

Again, reading perceived arguments into things does not help bring clarity.

No one said that it proved the attack was staged, only that this video spread by the accusers is inadmissible, which brings their trustworthiness into question. Russia asserted that the attack was staged, but they stated that from the outset, separately from the debunking of the school video which came later on. Concerning the other video they spread of the streets at night from after an air strike with bodies and people washing down, the west says it is legitimate proof of a chemical attack while Russia says it was the product of provocateurs stirring people into fear of chemical contamination after the bombing.

Where was the 5 year old video used by the White Helmets as if it was from the recent attack and was this the only evidence? The article you linked (which now goes to a different one like people removed from pictures with Stalin after their purging) never even claimed that but then the narrative got out of control.
