I'm down. They're probably going to charge for armours or pawn items, but I'm down.

Lobby? Does that mean going to a separate area (like summoning pawns in DD) to meet up, and then you go back to the actual world with a max of 4 real people at a time?

F2P hmm...have to know more before I judge.

this sounds promising. If the game is good I might get over the fact that it's.... f2p.

So not directed by Itsuno, cross gen, and F2P...

Ugh. VERY UGH. Playing like DD is great and all but that F2P man...I guess we will see but I have a baaaaaaaaad feeling about this...

This is what scares me the most. How is this gonna affect the gameplay? Will loot drop slower? Will leveling require a ton more grinding? F2P always messes up RPGs in their design.

And SOLD!! The scans look pretty good too.

Surprised an XboxOne version doesn't exist.

I'm thinking the lobby will be like the town or something then you venture out from the town with a party

I'm ok with this. Still need more info. F2P can be done right as long as it's cosmetic monetisation.

Not the DD2 I was expecting but this sounds like it could be pretty great if done right!

Its ok. I already accepted that this is how it would be...

And this is how they choose to bring the series to the PC?

Capcom... What are you doing?

F2P is a real turn off. Can imagine a lot of the customisation options that were given as standard before are now locked behind a wretched pay wall.

The rest sounds somewhat decent, however so I'm still interested. Just the F2P better not be awful.

F2P and sony console exclusive? Huh. I'll just wait and see how this turns out before freaking out but I have pretty low hopes right now.

Okay, I looked at all the details.

Title: Dragon's Dogma Online
Platforms: PS3/PS4/PC
Genre: Action
Price: Free 2 Play (With microtransactions)
Producer: Minae Matsukawa
Director: Kento Kinoshita
Executive Producer: Hiroyuki Kobayashi

The game is an online game with a full open world, a lobby area supporting up to 100 players, and feature ongoing content updates, timed events, etc. Players can form parties of up to 4 players or pawns, and engage on quests. There will also be raid-like events which support up to 8 players at once. There will be quick matching as well.

Sounds pretty much like an online only MMO type game without the full MMO gameplay. Similar to stuff like PSO and Guild Wars.

I remain optimistic. I mean not all f2p games are bad, far from it. Though Capcom and their rendition of is what scares me.

So it's going to be an MMO. Hggh... I hope the gameplay and area design doesn't get watered down too badly.

Sounds pretty awesome really. Exactly what I was thinking other then the F2P part. So far though I've had good runs with F2P like War Thunder or Warframe or Planetside or Loaded. As long as it's just stuff like xp boosts for .99 or cosmetics that's cool.

When will we see screens hit the net in good quality? Sounds like it looks awesome too

I didn't even think PSO before....but it makes so much sense.

EXTRA HYPE.

Does it look like it's using the same engine as Deep Down? I suck at finding scans lol.

Not expecting anything with a name like that. I want my sp DD dammit. If it's like DD1 but with an optional online component, I'll be there day 1. If it's online only I'll skip it entirely.

/edit: oh it's F2P? Well, that's another franchise down the fucking toilet then isn't it? Pass.
