EDIT: And no, it does not say this in all other patches. I've looked all the way back and there's no mention. US player here

EDIT 2: And no it is not in their Facebook web patch notes.

Hasn't for a while and I frankly just never noticed before if there is a previous one that says it

EDIT: I'm in the US and now I've read all of them and this is the only one that says it for me

With every new update, we got the same line for the PS+ version.
This one is new and seems more significant.

Might not have been in the notes that go up on the notes via console but in their Facebook posts and stuff it has been in there for a long time now.

Gradual improvements to help aide the PS+ Edition, though this is one of the first times they've used words to the effect of substantial, what with challenges and events getting a big upgrade.

You're mistaken, the patch notes on the web (dunno about in the client) have specifically mentioned to enable PS+ edition for many of the past patches and plenty after the weather patch.

I'm going by the published patch notes on PSN, of which this is the first mention

And I don't see it on their web notes either, for example

Yeah, this must be at least the third time that they've mentioned the Plus edition in that form over the past few months.

It looks great, but the last time I played it desperately needed some aa. Jaggies everywhere. Not sure if an update has improved things, it didn't really bother me until I played the pc version of Project Cars.

That's nearly 6 months old.

This is the most telling, posted a couple of days ago.

The servers that provide Challenges in DRIVECLUB are being replaced and upgraded. This will bring bigger, better challenges and improve server performance across the game as we continue to work to make the PlayStation Plus Edition of DRIVECLUB possible.

it would be huge mistake to highlight this game again at e3. hey guys, remember driveclub, it finally works!! here is ur free ps plus edition that was supposed to be at launch of ps4!

Misunderstandings in this thread.

Previous patch notes have said something to the effect of....

"Changes to...
Fixed....
Added...

Also, we are still working on updates to enable the PS+ edition."


This is the first update that has specifically mentioned any progress to enabling PS+ edition.

They've been talking about the continual improvements for a long time now, it is my most played game, I follow the updates, I've read it myself.

But yes this is a big update it seems, so is this the moment they become close to release, so feel the need to put it in official patch notes? Maybe.

Though do note, server upgrades don't require a patch all the time, only if the way the game interfaces with the server changes. So in a patch change log you won't always see 'we did some server stuff for PS+'.

I have a sealed copy of Driveclub.
If we do get Driveclub as a Plus freebie (maybe an additional release for the month of June if not July) I could trade this one in for a copy of Bloodborne >=3

The full game is so good, not sure why youd want to get rid of it.

It was mention that servers have been upgraded /swapped out. Its not far fetch to think that with the new server configuration they able to pull off add PS Plus Edition.

On the note would they announce it At E3 ? I don't see the need to do that. We knew at some point it coming just like Planetside 2. I don't think it would hurt or help the presentation either way.

Maybe I'm misreading but the way this thread is wording it is that Driveclub will be a Plus freebie soon.
If it isn't I'll keep it, otherwise since I'm getting the game via Plus I can trade it in for another game :p

I was being pedantic that PS+ hasn't been mentioned in patch notes before. They've mentioned the PS+ version a lot, because people won't let them be quiet about it, but never it in this format before.

Please Sony, don't make a big fuss about it at your E3 conference. Just release the god damn thing with a PSBlog note and be done with it.

No no no. This will be a cut down, permanent version(glorified demo) that is built to nickel and dime people for the rest of the content. The full game isn't coming to PS+.

I have to say, this game turned out to be bloody amazing. I really didnt expect to still be playing it nearly daily after the massive disappointment on launch. And I have barely scratched the surface of the DLC, because I'm crap.

You don't mention that qualifier in your thread title. You might as well limit it to mentions on Twitter or Google+ or Usenet Posts... :p

Basically the PS+ edition in mentioned by them pretty much with every update. I'm not the only one pointing out that you've missed it.

I got the full version from EB Games for like $30AUD in their sale the other day so it's not like the thing is expensive anymore.

Footnote PSBlog update and release Sony. Don't make a bigger deal than you need too.

Lol yes, basically it is a big demo. 1 country and a smallish selection of cars (plus the free DLC). It is entirely hoping to convince you to buy the whole game or more content, not replace the full game.
