The woman, who a witness said had been drinking, picked up the handgun, “turned on the laser sight and was pointing it at the floor to get the cat to chase it,” when the gun went off, the complaint filed Thursday said.

The man, who was standing in a doorway, was shot in the thigh, authorities said. He left and went into another apartment, where police found him after responding to a 911 call, the Kenosha News reported.

A tourniquet was applied to his leg to stop the bleeding before he was taken to a hospital. There’s no word on his condition, but authorities said he was facing charges for violating bond conditions that prevented him from having a weapon.

1. Dude wasn't allowed to have a gun, buys one with a laser sight and decides to show it off.
2. Gives it to a girlfriend who was drinking and she thinks it'd be fun to play with her cat with.
3. Dude gets shot in the leg with his own gun.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

I sense there is more to this story. Why did he leave and go to another apartment after getting shot by his own gun? Not buying this cat story.

Waiting for someone to take this seriously and admonish him for not "securing his weapon" before assuring us that they always do secure their weapon after scanning for threats and it's so very under control and mature hrm hrm hrm

  1. Thread title says woman shoots friend
  2. OP and article excerpt says dude is rushed to the hospital with gunshot wound
  3. Tschumi Tschumi assumes it's the guy who fired the shot and tries to insert a political agenda masked with humor
I think we me, Tschumi Tschumi and ManaByte ManaByte just created a new NeoGAF meme

How can i put this.. i did try to say something obliquely anti-gun.. i own up to that

Err but you totally misunderstood it, which only suggests that you were waiting for something like this to jump on...

I mean, uhm, what the fuck do you mean i think the man was the shooter? I mean, is that even what you mean or did you typeoh?

You're like the guy who strips naked 100m short of the naked beach lol

For the record, my post was making fun of an imaginary gaffer who was going to do the gun equivalent of virtue signalling about firearm discipline or whatever it's called, I'm amazed by how far you missed the point.. maybe i made a typeoh on my phone screen

An attempt at anti 2A humor was made but the fact of the matter is this dude per the story wasn’t allowed to own a gun and bought one anyway from the black market. If he bought it from a licensed firearms dealer that person should permanently lose their license. Common denominator here isn’t irresponsible Gun owners it’s the fact that criminals don’t follow the law let alone common sense guidelines like spending $100 on a quick release safe on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XTLXNJY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_M3DVBFGCN8X2Q0TQF6JZ

This isn't just dumb. This is multiple levels of dumb. This is several occasions of dumb combining themselves into a more potent and pervasive type of dumb.

Scientists commonly referred to this level of dumb as "Fucking stupid".

Our church had a glass door shot out a couple of weeks ago because a guy was "shooting possums" with his 9mm. Thankfully it was when no one was at church.

I am glad people have the right to own a weapon, but a lot of people have no sense of responsibility that comes with owning one.

That is the absolute truth. I've got a new neighbor who lives behind me. They like to do some shooting. On the one hand, the hawks and possums have vanished. On the other hand, I'm not entirely sure which direction they face when doing target shooting.... 🤔

Yeh Im gonna say Im glad its a rather more stringent process in these parts. Im not anti gun, just anti the idea of them more prevalent than brain cells.
