Nice. I miss transparent controllers from the N64 era. It was also pretty fun to take apart the controller and switch the front part with another to create multi colored controllers.

There was a time when translucent products were all the rage. This probably reminds them of those cheaper, third party DS controllers which came in such translucent varieties. I know I had a bit of that lingering impression looking at it even though it's the same official DS4.

Yeah, I'm not really feeling this one. The DS4 build quality is not great as it is but this makes it look worse. The silver is much better...

I have had multiple Blacks, Urban Camo, PS1 and Uncharted 4.
Im basically down to the PS1 which is dying(moves without touching) with the Uncharted DS4 as my emergency backup.

Time to get a another new backup.

Still no Steel Black controller coming stateside, though if I remember right, the Japan/Asia Crystal versions debuted alongside it. Will buy a pair when they do... Can't justify the import markup.

I think this Crystal one looks decent, even though I generally don't like translucent controllers. If they ever do the "emerald" translucent like the PS2 controller that I still have tucked away somewhere, THEN I might jump on board, though...

Looks more translucent. Also, the back half is solid white so its not fully see through either.

The Japanese one I have is more clear than that pic so it's probably the same. I think I would prefer this one actually because the revision controllers seem more sturdy to me.

That's my confusion, it's obviously an official controller, it won't be cheap.

Also confused about the price complaints. It's a rare limited build, still cheaper than Switch Pro Controller...
