Those GOW gifs make me cringe. I will not have any fun with this game. People can seriously watch and play through that? Its getting way out of hand now. I hope this is the actual end of the franchise since graphics are bound to get more realistic and will get into SERIOUSLY DO NOT WANT territory.

I don't know, I think the gifs are disgusting... I'm not against over-the-top violence when it's more or less symbolic (like shooting zombies in pools of blood, or decapitating ninjas), but that's just a display of unneeded cruelty, and... I don't know, it's just sick.
Maybe it's because they turned this torture thing into a minigame... for example some cutscenes in HotD:Overkill are really sick too, but it's mainly suggested and non interactive. I'm not sure I would have appreciated the final scene if it was on-screen, and made into a QTE.

I was never fond of the GoW games, but now I'm sure I won't play this one.

Yes I am tempted to but GOW3 based on those gifs alone.
I can understand why the gore may not excite everyone as much as it does me, but have no idea why GAF is so sensitive.

Bayonetta is incredibly gory. There's bloodsplatter everywhere and shit, things get skinned alive while you fight them, but the game is kinda silly with its gore. It doesn't take itself so goddamn seriously and it's just good fun. It's similar to No More Heroes in that way. When I see those GoW III gifs it's like watching a murder simulator. It's for those people who enjoy watching Hostel (and enjoy poorly-made action games).

Eh, I think Kratos is just a nasty bastard...you kind of know this when you are playing the game... I have a more of an issue with their warping of Greek mythology. Bayonetta looks silly in almost every regard outside of combat...some of the art is nice, but at least GoW has a far more cohesive appearance + atmosphere.

How the hell can a "fan of the GOW series" say something like that? Do you even remember what were in those games? Sex mini games, ripping the heads off various monsters, decapitating humans, bashing a mans brains in with a door, bare breasts galore, sawing into a mans stomach with a sword repeatedly, bashing a mans head in on a stone tablet etc etc etc

Centaur gutting = I'm OK with.
Ripping the head off of a screaming humanoid and seeing the flesh tearing around his neck =Crossing the line for me.

Graphical improvements make it harder to stomach as well.
