It transforms into a keyboard and mouse? Awesome!

Yay, great score. The negative point was expected, though. I got that feeling from looking at videos, too.

And I really think Animal Crossing Wii will be 2008...

In Japan, possibly. It's the sort of game that would take some time to localize though, so 2009 for NA sounds reasonable.

This is exactly what I expected. FFTA2 has fantastic SRPG gameplay, but the story just isn't there. I think people who really care about SRPG gameplay are going to have a great time with it. I sure did.

Thank god Medal of Honor is being made grittier and more realistic.

Shooters now are where fighters were a few years ago. There's only so many more directions the genre can go. For every TF2 or CoD4 there's a mountain of crap.

Yep. I don't really care about stories when it comes to SRPGs, but this one looks like a keeper in terms of gameplay.

Effing Boomblox, so overrated.

And then what? GTA IV was and still is the most overrated game in the history of humanity, so as long as it remains like that, at least don't give it the monopole of the overrating.

Lego Indy sounds solid and shame on my for expecting better scores from Krome-made games.

Wasnt this month supposed to have info about Infamous?

Hmm, I might have to buy this EGM for the other feature stories, usually I don't care

Might get this game, but I'm not sure I like the judges system in the first game, didn't get too far into it

Space Invaders Extreme - A-, B+, B+
Good: Addictive, stylish, value priced
Bad: Some PSP backgrounds are a bit too busy

Can't you turn off the busy backgrounds?

COD4 syndrome: look for every war franchise that's still relevant to take place somewhere in the modern day middle east, expect lots of brown.

Nice. Day one purchase for me.

Edit: I believe that you CAN turn the backgrounds off on the PSP version. I'm not sure why you'd want to though. Then again I'm a raging fan of Lumines.

interesting to see how bioshock ps3 looks...I played it on highest settings on my laptop, and didnt see anything that couldnt be pretty much exactly replicated on consoles, minus the AA of course...

Is there infamous in this issue? If not, EGM needs to seriously be called out for teasing this game month after month.

aaaaaaugh, medal of honor following the bread crumb path of CoD4 huh. What are they gonna do, set it in 2050?

Next month's issue sounds like its going to be epic.

I agree with the Boomblox review.

It is a really, really fun game. Unfortunately, I too don't have a very steady hand (too much mountain dew?) so those jenga like levels really are a pain.

It is a shame that Boom Blox is that good and the rest of Third Party Wii games are crap. I mean: Steven Spielberg is a well known man in movie's industry, but this is its first videogame, and it surpassed the 98% of every other Wii's game that was produced by people that work in this industry since years.

It's a **ing shame for the industry.

Granted I'm sure EA, you know, helped.

Hopefully this will spark conversation: it's amazing how rapidly and efficiently the industry has adapted to the success of games like CoD4, but the Wii continues to flabbergast virtually everyone but Nintendo.

Why do people think this is? My initial hypothesis is that things like CoD4 are fairly direct and clear evolutions of already well understood genres, while the Wii really does take a completely different direction than the rest of the industry. However, I'd be interested to see what other people think. Am I just making this up? Is this simply a matter of perception?

Xbox 720 launching with Call of Duty 8:Future Combat confirmed due to the fact by the time this gen is done the Middle East will be butthurt from all of the fps taking place there
