I only said its being developed by Capcom Vancouver. No idea about platforms or when it's going to be released. I really need to make a website and get some of the money other sites make from me. :p

What? I don't think Capcom Vancouver has made a DMC game, have they?

No. there was chatter that capcom was planning 2 releases this year. One with a expectation of about 5 million copies sold (RE7) and another with 2 million sold.

Alot of people thought that was DMC5. Clearly it's this.

Also, this kind of shows that Capcoms AAA strategy from now on is making first parties pay in part for exclusives.

This hasn't happened already?

Nope. You can see people (me) begging for it in every announcement thread though.

Noooooo, I loved DR3. It was the only Dead Rising I could actually play.

No reason to be as obtuse as Dead Rising 1, even though I'd like that. A more well designed map instead of generic open world that DR3 was. A smaller, tight and interesting map does a lot better of a job vs an overly big map without any character.

Not mad since I like Dead Rising. But the series has been on a bit of a decline. So hopefully 4 shakes things up. I liked DR3 but it just didn't have the spark of 1. 2 didn't either. Regardless hopefully after 4 CV can work on something else. Would be a shame for them to just be stuck as a dead rising dev.

Dead Rising 3 was a really fun game. Another entry would be great. If it's still the same type of game and not something else...

Yeah it seems to be their ethos in terms of game development from now on. First SFV and now this. Odds are DR4 will be exclusive to MS because MS are partially or even fully funding development in exchange for exclusivity.

DR4 is prob multiplat. Phil said they are no moneyhating 3rd pty exclusives anymore, apart from bought exclusivity I dont see much reason for Capcom not go multiplat

I thought Capcom were having problems financially.
I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being exclusive again due to funding.

As a huge fan of the series I'm really looking forward to where they take it with this game, I'd love to go back to Willamette a few years down the line when a second outbreak happens where you'd be able to explore the entire town this time.

I also really hope we can eventually get the whole series on PC so people can enjoy all the games on one platform without having to break out multiple outdated consoles.

I loved Case West and Case Zero so I'd definitely want those to be included :D

I sunk an awful lot of hours into DR3. If they've switched engines to UE4 and have had a proper development cycle rather than rushing out a launch title for a new console, then I'd be all over it day one!

Fixed.

And I'm pretty sure Nintendo is sending them some scratch to keep MonHun Exclusive.

They need to return to the mall setting, remove all the ridiculous number of weapons and combo formulas laying around on the ground, nix the terrible ass escort missions, and deemphasize the combo weapons or make them harder to get so you actually use other weapons. Oh and don't roadblock every single route in the map if you are gonna make me drive a car to get anywhere without taking a year and a half.

Capcom Vancouver doesn't make DMC. Kinda upset they are making another DR though.
Thats not it. Capcom has 2 unanounced games to be released this fiscal year. One predicted to sell 4M units (presumably RE7) and one 2M units (I guess this if true).

Was kinda hoping for a remake of the original. I thought Dead Rising 3 was the weakest in the series, I miss Frank in the series, and it's almost been 10 years since the original. Something like Unreal 4 could improve some of the problems the original had. Middle school me who played the game for 76 hours straight would agree.

Would be excited if this is true. Just hope it's less brown this time. DR3's whole "We need to appeal to the CoD audience" thing was just silly.
