(Notice the flag behind her isn't all red with yellow anchor)
The 2020 presidential candidate also referred to herself as a capitalist “down to [her] bones,” before saying regulations must be in place to make the system run smoothly.
“I believe in markets, I see the benefits that markets can produce,” she said. “When there's a cop on the beat, those markets start to work again."

"Banks, in that case, are forced to develop their profit models, not on cheating people, but on actually offering a better product.”
Warren added: “I think it also, when it doesn't work, it's been a force for bad, but that's been true of every form of government that we can identify. We've gotten it right sometimes, and we've gotten it wrong sometimes. When you let markets work with rules and with people on the beat to enforce those rules, we can produce a lot of wealth in this country.
The Massachusetts Democrat’s comments run counter to some remarks made by members of her party recently, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.
Speaking at the SXSW conference last weekend, Ocasio-Cortez slammed capitalism as “irredeemable”.
“The most important thing is the concentration of capital and it means that we seek and prioritize profit and the accumulation of money above all else and we seek it at any human and environmental cost. That is what that means.
"To me that ideology is not sustainable and cannot be redeemed."

she said.
”What we are reckoning with are the consequences of putting profit above everything else in society.”
Man this elections going to be a dire situation isn't it? Just going to be a 20 month long internal conflict between Democrats and Socialists. At least Warren since 2016 has moved a bit to the center I'll at least give her that much.

Unless it's a trick, because in Soviet Cortez tricks trick you.

Go read about the Justice Democrats guys.

There entire plan is to tear down the party and rebuilt it from scratch in their progressive socialist views. Anyone who is "corporate bought" and isn't with this agenda is a prime target.

Centerist/Moderate Democrats are in a fight and it seems like most of them don't even know it.

You would think Elizabeth Warren would be the type of Dems the JD love, but well here we are.

Also I love the term "Justice Democrats." As if you needed anymore proof progressives have their heads firmly up their own ass.

nah she's too establishment and part of the "corporate bought" Democrats.

All though Chakrabati has no problem moving a million dollars between LLC's and PACs to pay for "consulting services" which could mean anything. Nor does there seem to be a problem with AOC reporting she was governor of the JD during her campaign, or paying her BF 6 K so he can move to NYC. Point being riling against "corporate bought" Dems is just hypocrisy.

Its like all progressive groups that pervert language. They always make sure to use the words Justice or Peace or Reconciliation to fool you with their sinister plots. Who could be against Justice comrade? Just come to this nice Gulag.

Giving credit where it's due, Liz seems to realize she's in the midst of the fight for the future of her party. Still can't believe that she, of all people, now appears to be a moderate within the party though. If I weren't wasting time at work I'd be wondering just how many beers I drank before reading this thread. Liz Warren the centrist. Wow.

Also, kind of ironic that the intellectual foundation of occupy wall street is now leading the charge back to the center. I bet she's feeling like the guys who start forest fires by throwing lit cigarette butts out the window.

A reasonable stance like hers while the party is ripping apart is a dangerous move to make.
Or is it? May make the traditional dems back her to get those brown shirts out of the party. If they don't get the nomination they'll be back to a minority party and the leadership will make sure socialists can't get back in under the "democrat" name again finally after 100 years permanently defeating communism.

Then she'll lost to Trump anyway and all will be well.

There will always be a place for socialists/communist in the democratic party as long as you can blame capitalism for something. Anything

It's dangerous if traditional (now probably called "centrist" by their radical counterparts) Democrats are unable to do what you described and the far-Left ideology continues to claw away at the innards of the party. As I mentioned, Democrats are having their Tea Party movement and they have utterly failed at closing it down like the Republicans did. It is a dangerous move if her coalition within the Democrats fail and the Progressives take over because the first people to get blacklisted are the "moderates".

Heck, you can take a peek at certain forums and some of the more extreme-Left gossip blogs "news websites" and they will straight-up say that being a Centrist is almost as bad as being on the Right (and everyone on the Right is alt-right, in their eyes). People like Warren would not be treated kindly if the progressives gained control over the party.

I suppose the crucial flaw is that Democrats didn't put a limit on virtue signaling. It's a race to be more woke, more progressive, more victimized. This movement is taking advantage of that ideological flaw of the party and pushing it to its furthest absurdity.

Meanwhile, "establishment" Democrats are confused and don't know where to turn. We'll see many more "splits" like this leading up to the 2020 primaries.
