I knew it. Monster sucked.



Kendrick Lamar is just an okay rapper. He is way overblown in hype. As for Drake, I couldn't even put him on the same scale as rappers because of all the songs I've heard by him, he was singing. To me, he's a singer, not a rapper. I don't understand why he's classified as a rapper. And to add fuel to the fire, I also never liked Kanye West's music.

Even though he's 1/4 with me on his singles, I'll still give him the benefit of the doubt. Lol. I really hope it will have songs I enjoyed as much as Déjà Vu and Stay Wide Awake. We already heard 25% of the standard album and I'm not impressed. That's really not a good look. I am not afraid (pun intended) to flame this album if it's Encore status to me.

Let's hope he can pull through and at least serve an average album. Lol.

I think a song like Deja Vu or Changes is guaranteed. I'd say at least 2-3 songs like that. Even his worst albums have those solid tracks. Its the other stuff that scares me.

Just to balance out some of the hate for Eminem's new song: I LOVE The Monster. It's not quite as good as Love The Way You Lie, but it's close. Gonna be a huge hit!

Yeah, Fast Lane is the good kind of pop rap: hype and aggressive. That album's brilliant but I usually skip Lighters.

I listened to it all the way through. Compton was okay, but forgettable for me. Like I said, I'm not denying he's got talent, as some of his rapping was good. But it just didn't speak to me. :/

I feel like Rap God has a good enough beat. The song is about the flow and the ability of the lyricist so you don't want the beat to distract from that. If anything, for a track such as that, you want the beat to just be there to keep time.

Survival is meh. Not the type of song I expect from him.

You know, just listening to all of the songs again and despite not necessarily loving them all they are definitely lyrically better than most of Recovery for sure. Don't let the beat/hooks overshadow Em's lyrics, because each song has some high points.
