Just days after he said he wanted to punch Lana Del Rey “in the face twice like Ray Rice,” the controversial rapper, 42, has drawn criticism for lyrics about wanting to rape Iggy Azalea, reports E! News.

In a vile one-minute preview of Vegas, a song believed to be on his upcoming album, released on Wednesday, the emcee makes fun of the Australian artist’s famous rear end, then raps about dragging her by an SUV before raping her.

The lyrics in question, via Genius:
(Warning: Explicit content)
“B*tch, shut the f**k up and get in my car/
And suck my f***ing d**k while I take a s**t/
And I think with my d**k so come blow my mind/
And it tastes like humble pie/
So swallow my pride, you’re lucky just to follow my ride/
If I let you run alongside the Humvee/
Unless you’re Nicki, grab you by the wrist, let’s ski/
So what’s it gon’ be? Put that s**t away Iggy/
You don’t wanna blow that rape whistle on me/
(Scream!) I love it/
‘Fore I get lost with the gettin’ off.”

The preview follows last week’s release of SHADY CXVPHER, a 17-minute-long freestyle in which he rapped: “Play nice, b*tch, I punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twice like Ray Rice in broad daylight.”
Fantasising about committing violent acts against female celebrities in his music is nothing new for the well-past-his-prime rapper. Amy Winehouse, Kim Kardashian and Christina Aguilera have all been victims of Eminem’s inexplicable vitriol in the past.
Azalea chose to answer the rapper with a couple of tweets, making it clear how she saw the situation:

Iggy's response

im bored of the old men threatening young women as entertainment trend and much more interested in the young women getting $ trend. zzzz

its especially akward because my 14 year old brother is the biggest eminem fan and now the artist he admired says he wants to rape me. nice!

Eminem ain't been shit for years and it'll be nice when the day comes that we can stop pretending otherwise.

The shots he popped off at female pop stars back when he first came out weren't cute, and it's definitely not cute now that he's an old ass man. It's disturbing, actually.

I really liked Eminem when I was like 12. I wonder how those old albums hold up now that I am much more sensitive to homophobia and shit like that.

Some of the stuff from 8 mile is really really good. Most of his early stuff about his fear and insecurity still are pretty appealing and feel raw and real.

Stuff like Criminal is just trash though.

Damn that's pretty... Fucking lame, he should really be evolving (Haven't listened to him since 2001), doesn't he have a daughter that's a teenager by now.

The Marshall Mathers LP is still an amazing album. Kim, for all it's deplorable rhymes, is one hell of a song.

Which is why stuff like this, and his last LP just seems so...terribly flacid. It doesn't help that the record companies are trying to push it as if it was the next coming of hip hop.

I guess it's hard to make meaningful angry rap when you have more money than god and your daughter is homecoming queen.

::Shrugs:: There's always Rhyme or Reason, right?

Right.

Eminem is 42.

In the rap game, he's ancient.

In the pop music scene, he's an obelisk.
Not really. Nas and Jigga are older iirc.

Rape sluts. Make fun of gay clubs, men who wear make-up.

Stuff like Criminal is just trash though.

I still remember most of the lyrics from his first three albums
the world has moved on. It's the reason why when I saw the Eddie Murphy stand up specials for the first time a couple years ago, I was flabbergasted by how aggressively horrible the things he said were, and I am not offended easily, if at all.

This is only shocking because he's been so tame and blande from replase on. His albums used to full of this stuff, raping his own mum etc.

Aren't there people who refer to him as "god" or "rap god" on this website? Interesting.

Em does have a pretty solid flow/technical ability. But I think he's trying too hard because he doesn't know what else to do.

Calling Eminem a old man. Shots fired.

He is old. Really fucking old and out of touch as shit.

wish these rapper grandads would either wise up and do some run the jewels type shit or just move on with the damn lives and let the young, actually interesting fresh stuff come through.

raping iggy azalea like really em? who gives a fuck about your cliche threats anymore, leave iggy alone work on your own shit.

I'm not surprised! When I read the thread title i went "sounds like something Eminem would say".

His gimmick is to be angry and threatening and apparently some people love that about him. I got tired of it after his first major release album.

Quite so.

I mean honestly, if you still have drive, why are you making fun of Iggy Azalea for god's sake? She'll be gone in a month. But I guess that's how you show the kids that you're hip and with it. Fuck flows about stuff that's meaningful to you, show the world that you still know who's in the top 40.

MM LP is pretty aggressive on the gay bashing and shock value. SS LP and Eminem Show are still great though.

Iggy should have pointed out how Em loves his daughter and that he's doing a disservice to her as well for making songs with such garbage content.

You tell me

This would only be shocking in a world where two of the guy's best songs didn't feature women being violently murdered.

I doubt he'll apologize like Rick Ross had to when he rapped about giving a girl a roofie. I don't know if Emimen was trying to recapture his extremely controversial persona or if he still doesn't care what people think or say about his lyrics. I imagine its the latter.

we should be applauding eminem, if only for staying within this decade of pop-culture for reference material.

for real. his first single off MMLP2 last year had a slam on K-Fed in the hook of the song. like.....really dude? Get into the 2010's at least

Eminem is overrated and constantly relies on tasteless shock value in most of his material. There, I said it.

thought it was kinda funny when snoop was beefing her but this shit's pathetic. this "rape a school bus of sluts what WHAT I'M ADDICTED TO SMACK and I'll smack the ass of a pack of hyenas and hop off in a beamah i guess that's why they call it window-pain" eminem flow is tired as hell.

iggy's still corny though. scust to them both.

He lost himself in the moment but now he needs to snap back to reality and realize shock rap is tired.

It's not even clever or anything, it's just really bad. Really don't like much of anything he's put out recently, thought Rap god was bad as well. I miss a lot of the movie stuff like Rabbit run and 8 mile.

Eminem will continue to go for shock value with his lyrics. Rhyming about demeaning women and those who are different is a standard of the genre. There are plenty of groups that don't. It's par for the course with Eminem.

The weird thing is he doesn't need to. I think he's a little off and he thinks it's funny. He's probably not going to rape or chainsaw anyone any time soon. Not while he still has a career, at least.

"I guess that's why they call it window-pain" is the best lyric this decade. It slays me every time I hear it. I'm dying now just thinking about it.
