PC Gamer has announced the first participants for PC Gaming Show 2019.

PC Gaming Show 2019 will be hosted by Sean “Day[9]” Plott and eSports presenter Frankie Ward, and feature an “amazing lineup” of trailers, developer interviews, and “never-before-seen” PC games.

“This year’s live stream will present more announcements and new trailers than any previous PC Gaming Show,” said PC Gamer global editor-in-chief Evan Lahti in a press release. “From brilliant indies to studios that have shaped PC gaming for decades, we’re excited to showcase what’s next for the world’s most vibrant gaming platform.”

The Epic Games Store headlines this year’s lineup as a sponsor, and will reveal “brand new material for several games, including some exclusives, coming to the Epic Games store.”

Other studios confirmed today include Annapurna Interactive, Chucklefish, Digital Extremes, Digital Uppercut, E-WIN, Fatshark, Fellow Traveller, Frontier Developments, Funcom, Modus Games, Paradox Interactive, Perfect World Entertainment, Raw Fury, Rebellion, Re-Logic, and Tripwire Interactive.

PC Gaming Show 2019 will be live streamed on Twitch on June 10 at 10:00 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m.

Open wide and receive our offerings! Shove it down, reaaally shove down as deeply as you can take! Gag as much as you want on our great gifts! Just accept this as this is how things are now! We know better what's good for you!
This is just business! But it is also SO great for you, the customer!
Drink it! DRINK IT! Shove our totally sound business tactic down your fucking throats and enjoy it! Or not! 'Cause we don't fucking care!
Gaming is a BUSINESS!

My name is Tim Sweeney and I lived long enough to become the butthurt villain.

I wasn't all that invested in the PC Gaming show to begin with, despite being a PC gamer, but if they're going to be shilling the Epic Game Store, it's going to be a pass from me.

There's a reason companies are foregoing these kind of events anyway. They're completely unnecessary in the modern market. PC Gamer is just trying to grasp onto a platform for advertising that was already falling out of style when they joined the club.

Epic is plowing money into press & marketing and it amuses me because this is a game Valve does not play, at all. Lavish events at E3 etc are a form of "fitness display" for publicly traded companies and the reason why Nintendo bowed out of E3 when they were in dire straits.

Meanwhile when Valve talks to the press, it looks something like this, like they borrowed a classroom. They don't have any shareholders to impress so they don't give a fuck. Should Valve change or is this fine? It's fucking great!

I honestly have no problem with Epic, it's just they put the bare minimum about of effort into the software itself. The UI is gigantic and clunky, I don't even know if it has features, and the lack of achievement support is a real turn-off.

You should look up all the articles where they shit on steam. They are not even trying to hide their bias 😂.

Could someone change that ign review score money gif to pcgamer and epic?

PC has a chance to win E3, the importance of exclusives will win, the PC community forgot that where you buy your games isn't that important.

It is damn well important where i buy my games from when the Chinese government through Tencent as a proxy owns Epic Games.

Competition is good. About time someone who has the money and resources to compete with Valve.

Every argument about Epic has been debunked except for the fact that their storefront is MASSIVELY lacking.

They are not a spy for China despite having Tencent owning 40% of Epic. Some of you are treading into Xenophobic waters.

Do you have proof that China is not doing anything of the sort you claim or are you just throwing bs around because you have an agenda?

This is not how this works. Don't be daft.

It's like me accusing you of being a pedo for watching the Professional and it's up to you to prove that you're not. Or even more relevant, it's like accusing Evilore of doing something bad and then all of GAF explodes and people show who they really are.

Anyways, I'll throw you a bone.

I own a PC and play a lot of PC games but I've never given the PC gaming show a look. I've always been more interested in what the console makers were doing. But given what Epic is up to I'll make sure to at least check out the news about it later so I can get mad about the exclusives EGS is announcing.

How do you debunk the fact they are moneyhatting games?, they either are or are not., and they are. Awful company, but keep bending over for them, i'm sure they appreciate it.

I was talking about the debunking that they're a Chinese spy. You know this and you're playing ignorant.

I'm from the console arena. We know all too well about paid exclusivity. For the past 15 years almost. This is nothing new to us. Want to know why I don't give a shit about your plight? Because all it costs you is some bandwidth to download a new client. You don't have to buy a different console for hundreds of dollars.

"Oh noes! I have to click on a different Icon to launch my game!"

Give me a break.

I have games on Steam, GOG, Origin, and now Epic. I can tell you from first hand experience that it's a hell of a lot more convenient than switching between my PS4, XB1, and my Switch.

I think your argument about paid exlusivity on PC is stupid.

Of course you do, because like the rest of you sheep, you think the only reason people hate EPIC is because they have to have another launcher, when in reality thats one of many reasons, and a small reason at that.
Nice stealth edit by the way.

Oh goody. Sweeney and friends really trying to get their tendrils into every crack and crevice.

Not that the PC gaming show was ever that interesting, mind. I can't remember a single year where it wowed me with an announcement.

Oh look, like clockwork with every EGS thread- wilful ignorance and reduction of the argument down to "it's just a few more clicks".

What other reason? Seriously? We all know that the Epic store is sorely missing in nice QOL things that we have on Steam. I already admitted that. But from a completely functional standpoint, I can buy the game and launch it.

This idea that because I don't 100% agree with you makes me some sort of brigader or astroturfer is unbelievably stupid.

And what the hell are you talking about a stealth edit? I decided to edit my post 10 seconds after I posted to fix something.

Moneyhatting games and forced exclusivity?, taking games off Steam, taking games off Steam after they had had Steams exposure and pre-orders, forcing people to use an ecosystem they dont want to, you know all the scummy terrible practices?, but no, we are all pissed off because we have to have another launcher.

Not a fan of pulling games off Steam. I think that's bullshit. You are right.

I don't have a problem with their ecosystem. Because it's not in my traditional sense. It's not like Apple, Android, Xbox, Nintendo, or Playstation. It's just a launcher. I have absolutely zero problems with that right now.

If it changes, then I will be one of the first screaming to the high heavens. I would absolutely hate if you could only buy games from the MS store if you have a Windows OS and only games from Epic and Steam on Linux.

Spukc

always chasing the next thrill
yeah fuck steam
let epic fuck em harder

maybe then this fat lardhead gaben will finally start making half life 3

Finally looks like PC will have a great E3 show (I hope).

That is a good sigh for the PC gaming industry.

A significant one in my eyes would be the lack of full regional pricing which is making the games they are moneyhatting from steam cost more on the EGS despite all those claims that the savings were going to be passed on to the consumers.

Could you clarify? I don't understand your argument. If it's $60 in the US then it should be the equivalent in other countries imo.

Sure, there are many places around the world that Epic is basically passing the costs to the consumers to make the split work. I'm on my phone so i'm just going to pull a recent one but you can find these kind of stories from South America and parts of Asia all over twitter, facebook, reddit etc:

Yes, i know all about this but it still does not change the fact that Epic and China are scraping our info, so this is not proof, sorry buddy. And yet again, someone shilling for the Chinese government, one of the most despicable governments the world over, i cannot take anyone seriously who defends them.

I"m not defending them. I think it's apalling. You have provided absolutely zero proof that it's China scraping our info (or anyone for that matter) and happening to us here other than accusing me.
