PC gaming exclusives deals. Usually something reserved for the console war. What a time to be alive. Tencent is turning the PC gaming side into a shit show as well

Gears of war 5.

Xbox game pass exclusive to epic store.

Microsoft and Epic in bed again.
Isn't Microsoft more friendlier with Valve ? They are releasing Master Chief Collection on Steam. And Gaben used to work at Microsoft, maybe his old co-workers are now in positions of power.

Nahh. Valve and microsoft have had a history of spats.

Epic and MS have worked closely for a long time. Add that to the recent smooching of Microsoft's pickle by tim Sweeney and all of the pieces fall into place

I wonder if that we could get more special games for free on the Epic store if they're going to have some event at the same time on their store

MS works with everyone.

MCC on Steam not EGS invalidates your above comment

IDK. I love the idea of Epic shaking things up, but...

I don't think Steam has been affected nearly enough at this point to do something (like Half-Life) they wouldn't otherwise.

There have been a LOT of games that had short-term mass appeal throughout the years. Like WoW, LoL, DayZ, PUBG, etc. Fortnite's days are numbered. Instead of using that Fortnite money to make the Epic Store have a niche and give value to gamers, Epic is trying to strongarm their way to be the next Steam. It won't work. Once Fortnite stops being the top game, Epic Games Store which is a storefront for games available via the web and built into Epic Games' which is PC & Mobile Game Development will soon follow and drag Epic into bankruptcy.

Yeah. Doubt it. Don't think Epic's long-term success is that tied to Fortnite anymore.

It's not like all the money the company has already earned would just disappear when Fortnite does.

Very cool, feels like a long time since there was a focused pc show.
I don't have any emotional baggage about using the egs

Good for Epic and this is a big move on their part.

It's hilarious that the same people badmouthing Epic would be singing the praises if Steam had their own show of exclusive games on their platform.

I seriously doubt that Epic will be anywhere remotely close to bankruptcy danger anytime soon. You are correct that Fortnite can't carry them forever, but Unreal engine licenses will always be a source of revenue and considering the perks of using the unreal engine and having those games get great deals on being the Epic Store, they have a pretty good chance of success.

Being the exclusive provider of Metro Exodus, Borderlands 3 and Outer Worlds is providing value to gamers.

Good. E3 for PC needs some proper content to get people rolling.

Part of the reason why PC has such poor PR is because various companies can't go together and put decent show. AMD and Intel are barely ones who ever cared and they cared mostly because they sold hardware to PC gamers.

As for Epic stuff i don't mind it. In the end it is still on PC so it doesn't matter if you need to use Epic store or Velve store, either way those are just shitty frontends you can close after finishing playing games.

99% Of PC games were always exclusives to begin with...

People has the wrong ideia of what Open Platform means... the creator of the software is open to choose where the app will land without restriction... that means open.

OS, API, Storefront, etc are all exclusives chosen by the developer.

Announcement that they will announce some games

Wish these “games services” would just drop the foreplay and announce some games already. They can drop the open discussions of how they are going to change the industry and start laying their cards down.

This is why I live Nintendo they don’t need to tease out every single announcement they just drop a Direct suddenly and now you know there is a game you want to buy

I have never seen anyone make exclusivity deals for their store on PC. Tencent sure is

So which of them are paying devs to release on their store only or paying developers to remove their game from another storefront? Or paying devs for for 1 year deals to be only on their store? This isn't console wars. It's PC
